Smithfield Foods have created a wonderful fully-cooked hickory smoked spiral sliced half ham bone-in under their ‘Carando Classic Italian’ brand label. It’s in a heavy plastic cover and wrapped in a bright red Mylar that included a packet of ham glaze.
After removing the wrappings, put the ham face-down in a pan, seal it with a double width of aluminum foil and bake it at 275. My 10 lb. required 2 hours. After removing from the oven, put it on its side and drizzle the glaze over the slices, separate them which I couldn’t do holding the iPhone and let it ooze inside the slices. Rest for 15 minutes and enjoy. Be sure and portion out slices for future meals and freeze in a zip lock. Close it mostly up, insert a straw in the lower portion of the bag and suck the air out, as it completely seals it tightly and prevents freezer burn, zip it closed and date the bag. The bonus is the bone that gives added flavor to Portuguese Kale soup, Pea soup or home-made baked beans.
I was fortunate to buy mine at Market Basket @$1.49/lb. Right now they are $1.14/lb.

The red Virginia sausage aren’t good anymore. They need the old recipe back. Has the food sales declined since they sold to the Chinese?

I just saw the video from Tik Tok about your factory and I was horrified. Horrendous conditions. Unsafe practices and firing an employee that called out a crooked manager for sleeping with an employee! Never again will I purchase anything feom Smithfield again. FOUL! Look up the video. I have used Smithfield products all my adult life and have been very pleased with them. Due to your position with Paula Deen and the removal of her products or anything associated with her on your products I will no longer be purchasing your products. I believe everyone should and deserves a second chance especially after they have apologized. Should your company reconsider their position then iI will reconsider mine as well. As I said everyone should get a second chance.I do appreciate the opportunity to express my opinion about this particular situation.

I purchased a 10lb bucket of chitterlings that was supposed to be not cleaned when I got home and begin to clean them I found they were pieces of the ready to cook, after I cleaned them I only got a half of a quart Ziploc bag full mind you I paid twenty nine dollars and didn't" get a mouth full out of the bucket it may have been a half a pound of chitterlings for twenty nine whole dollars. So please take it from me don't waste your money and be disappointed like I am find you another brand.

Please be advised that I will no longer be purchasing ANY of your products!
I will not only boycott Food network, but Smithfield Foods! This has gotten way out of hand! Paula Deen is a wonderful lady, and you trying to use her as an example is simply STUPID! I think you don't want to pay the lady for all the business she has brought to your company. Also, you add too much salt to your products... way too salty!!!!

Like the other reviews I have read on this site, I will no longer be purchasing any Smithfield products. The way this company and the Food Network have treating Ms Deen are terrible. She answered a question honestly under oath about something that happened over two decades ago! Paula Deen is a person I would want young people to look up to instead of MANY of the "celebrities" we see doing terrible things today. Plus, there is better ham and bacon out there anyway...
