Awesome place .. I needed some walking boots, as mine broke.. this store had everything, and not overly expensive. Bit you had to get past the eagles.

The store is still in some what of a transition still from Alaska Ship to Three Bears. Three Bears stores are an asset to a community.

If you forgot something, or want to get gifts while in town. Its here or Safeway. This is the place to get shirts and stuff. Remember your in Alaska now, and on a Island, so be ready for the prices. But a good shop, lots of variety and things. Its a one stop shop, liquor store, hardware, gifts, household goods, and groceries.

We moved here from Wasilla, the birth place of Three Bears. We love having it in Dutch Harbor. It feels like a little bit of home came with us.

The store is clean and well stocked. All of the staff are helpful and friendly. As far as the prices go, you've got to remember that you are in Dutch Harbor, which is a helluva ways from Anchorage, which isn't the cheapest place to shop as it's a helluva ways from your bargain stores in the L48. This being said, the prices for food and necessities wasn't as bad as I expected. Makes perfect sense as there's competition in the form of a Carr's/Safeway five minutes walk away. As far as the price for clothing and gear, if you're too dense to get properly outfitted before coming to the Bering Sea, you deserve what you get ?
