Our wedding day on August 4th, 2024, at St. Clements Castle and Marina in Portland, Connecticut, was nothing short of a dream come true! From the moment we stepped onto the grounds, we knew we had chosen the perfect venue, but what made the experience truly unforgettable was the incredible team at St Clements.

The Venue:

St. Clements is a stunning, picturesque venue that feels like a fairytale come to life. The grand castle, with its timeless architecture, combined with the breathtaking beautiful gardens, provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Every inch of the venue is meticulously maintained, and the view of the Connecticut River was absolutely magical, adding an extra layer of elegance and charm to our special day. We had the pleasure of getting married at the Prince Edward’s Ballroom. The ballroom was timeless and elegant and served as the perfect reception/ceremony space. It did rain on our date and we had to move the ceremony inside. The staff made all the accommodations without hesitation to overturn the reception space into the most magical indoor ceremony space that I could have ever imagined. It transformed ❤️ it was giving small chapel vibes. Although my heart and the initial plan was to have an outdoor ceremony, the staff made sure my ceremony was nothing but perfect. They acted timely and efficiently to ensure our back up plan was properly executed. I was still able to get beautiful photos on the grounds as the weather cleared up.

The Staff:

The staff at St. Clements truly went above and beyond. From the very beginning, Rebecca my sales coordinator, was an absolute gem. She was not only informative and knowledgeable, but her attention to detail and dedication to making our day perfect were unparalleled. She listened to all our ideas, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made sure everything was on point! Rebecca was truly a key part of making our day so seamless and special! Thank you.

The Food:

The food at St. Clements was another highlight of our wedding. Our guests are still raving about it! The menu was delicious, diverse, and beautifully presented. From the hors d'oeuvres to the main course, every dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. The staff ensured that everyone’s dietary preferences were met with ease, and the service was impeccable.

Overall Experience:

Our wedding at St. Clements was everything we had dreamed of and more. The picturesque setting, combined with the incredible service, made for an unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever. Rebecca and the entire team at St. Clements Castle and Marina went above and beyond to ensure that our day was nothing short of magical. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue or a more dedicated team to help bring our vision to life. I had my daughter’s Bridal Shower in the Waterford Room this past Saturday. All I can say is WOW!! Amazing venue, amazing staff. Every guest was in awe. The staff was attentive, our Event Manager Lauren was more than accommodating, she was just fabulous! Pamela was just amazing, guiding us and answering all our questions with grace! I cannot say enough great things about this place. And the view of the CT River, priceless for pics!!! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL❤️

We had our wedding in the Waterford Ballroom on July 14, 2024, and it was probably the best decision we made to hold our celebration at Saint Clements. The entire space is absolutely beautiful– both the outdoor ceremony space overlooking the river, to the patio for cocktail hour, to the beautiful twinkling chandeliers inside. Leading up to the day-of, everything was super easy and transparent. Our wedding coordinator Alyssa Phillips made the payment and logistics side of things incredibly easy and straightforward, not to mention answering my (many… MANY) emails. My now-husband and I are originally from New England, but live in California now- this is important, because even from 3000 miles away, I felt so incredibly supported by the whole team here. At our week-of meeting, Alyssa and our day-of coordinator Jeri answered my dozens of questions and treated every request I had with understanding. When I left the meeting, I actually told my husband, “My mind is quiet for the first time in a year”, simply because they were so fulfilling of our needs! On the day of, Jeri had everything set up to perfection, kept us on time, and guided us and our bridal party through the day– she’s also an expert dress bustle-er! I also want to shout out our bridal party attendant Tomi, for making sure we all had food and drinks the whole day. Normally weddings are stressful and crazy, and I was so pleasantly surprised to find that the entire day felt relaxed and easy! If you’re looking for an incredibly beautiful and timeless space, with a supportive and knowledgeable team, at an extremely affordable price point, look no further than Saint Clements. I know that I will cherish my wedding day forever because of them.

St Clements was nothing but the best! From the beginning of the planning process to the day of the wedding they were amazing! The venue speaks for itself and the staff is amazing! We had to most perfect day celebrating our wedding. The food was amazing and the drinks were amazing too! All of our guest had nothing but great things to say about the venue and the staff treating them like royalty!! As the bride and groom, we never had to worry about a single thing the entire night! We had the most amazing attendants working with us on our wedding day. They really made our vision come to life. We are so happy we chose St Clement’s as our wedding venue and the place to start out forever. Thank you to everyone here who made this day so special, we HIGHLY recommend this venue!!!

I had my wedding reception at the Rivers Edge ballroom, and everything was absolutely perfect. My wedding was a little over a year ago, and I still have guests complimenting how perfect everything was and how pleased they were with the service! Rebecca Sola was a pleasure to work with and the day of coordinator made sure everything ran smoothly. There are so many great spots for photos and the area overlooking the water is perfect for golden hour. My husband and I cannot recommend this venue enough! We hope some day we get to be guests at a Saint Clements wedding so we can experience it all over again!

Saint Clements has the most amazing staff who are so accommodating and kind. They made sure that my husband and I were eating and drinking the entire night and were extremely accommodating when it came to our decor setup, offering help with putting it out and taking it down. We had the best experience!

My Niece had her wedding ceremony, and reception in the Waterford Ballroom. Beautiful landscape. Staff was exceptional. Very attentive to the guests. Service and Wait staff very efficient, polite, attention to detail. Also found staff to be very respectful of the Brides wishes. Property and parking accommodations are great. They handled two wedding's at the same time and would have never know the other party was there. Highly recommended

I had an amazing time photographing Carli & Jarets wedding day! Not only was the weather and venue at the marina stunning, all vendors worked together as a team to make sure these two had the best day ever. Can't wait to be back!
