I have been taking my cars to Modern Tire in Farmington for tires and service work for several years. Bryan and his team provide exceptional customer service and will be honest about the issues with your car. You can trust what is being said and I have always appreciated that! They have always been able to give me a great estimate of how much time it was going to take for my car to be fixed and always contacted me with additional issues if there were any. I greatly appreciate the above average customer service and highly recommend Modern Tire for your tire and service needs!

We came here to diagnose and fix a rattling car noise we had that sounded concerning. We also took care of an oil change and replaced the brakes at the same time. The shop was very knowledgeable, friendly, quick and had fair prices. However the noise we wanted fixed was still there. We went back and they took another look again, for free and secured some plastic trim in the front wheel well they suspected as the cause. That too didn't work. We really appreciated them looking at it again, and doing something for free, but ultimately didn't solve the problem.

We eventually went to another shop and found out the the ball joint of the lower control arm was visibly messed up. So not sure how this shop didn't see this problem. The new shop replaced it and the noise was gone.

Things get weird from here and get worse... We ended up with a brake fluid leak during a 2hiur drive, and lost our ability to brake when we arrived. Not sure what shop is at fault here, but that could have been a major accident on a highway.

On one hand this shop did the brakes, the other shop replaced the control arm, and most likely didn't have a reason to undo the brakes for that repair. Turns out the fluid leak was from the bolt at the end of the brake line not being comepeltey tightened. Also after taking a closer look at the brake replacement, it looks like the old anti-rattling clips were not replaced and making contact with the discs, creating another squeezing noise. Not sure if this part is typically replaced during this job, but seemed like it should have been.

3 stars becuase of inability to see the ball joint issue, and then potentially being responsible for not tightening the brake line. But at the same time, they were very nice, gave us a great price and discount, and work fast.

Just wanted to share our story, and let y'all decide who may have been the cause of a potential disaster.

While traveling for a wedding I had run over a nail which caused a small leak. After a quick phone call explaining my situation Brian and his team quickly repaired the tire and got me back on the road in 16 minutes. This kind of customer service is a rare thing these days. I'm not sure many other shops would have gone out of their way to help me the way Modern Tire did. Thanks again guys!

I recently came in to have an oil/filter change and fuel injection cleaning performed on my Subaru Ascent. Due to a maintenance error that I later learned was not fully disclosed to the Service Advisors, a faulty installation of the oil filter allowed engine oil to spray throughout the engine compartment when the vehicle was turned on. The mechanic tried to clean up the oil by spraying degreasing fluid in the engine compartment, but failed to fully wash out the oil and degreasing fluid. After the service was completed Bryan called me up to the Service Desk to pay for the service and get my keys. He was informed by the mechanic and passed to me that a small amount of oil had spilled during the replacement of the filter due to the oil filter design in a Subaru, but the mechanic had cleaned it up. I might have a small amount of smell while it burned off.
Unfortunately, the smell of oil and degreasing fluid left to burn and steam in the engine compartment and blow through the cabin air vents was unbearable, and as an aircraft mechanic I knew that this was more than just a small amount of oil residue burning off on the engine. I later found that whatever had occurred had caused much of the black rubber and plastic materials in engine compartment, front grill area, and front bumper to be grayed out and discolored. The top of the head light lenses had also been damaged.
When I brought this to the attention of the Service Advisors, Bryan Holland, who I have worked with in the past at not only the Farmington Facility but also years ago, in the Newington Facility, took control of the situation. He set up an appointment with a vehicle detail shop, set me up with a vehicle rental, and ensured me that the damage would be taken care of one way or another at no cost to myself. In two days I received the Subaru back, detailed inside and out, engine area immaculate, headlight lens damage fixed, and most importantly the smell of oil and degreasing fluid completely gone.
As a 36-year aircraft mechanic, I realize that mistakes can happen in any field. But what sets one company apart from others is how they correct the mistakes made and make a customer whole again. Bryan Holland and Modern Tire did just that. Thank you very much!

Steven was awesome! He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about my mazda and is a very pleasant person to work with. He explained in detail the work needed on my car and gave me an accurate time frame i was very impressed with how professional he was when explaining the work needed and why it was necessary. Im not very car savy so he explained everything in a way i was able to understand and i haven’t had that anywhere else i have brought any of my cars to. Its a nice feeling knowing i can trust someone with my car and not have to worry about getting taken advantage of. So thank you steven i will definitely be back!!
