Nolan's Monument Company was professional and easy to work with! We had no idea what our options were and how to go about doing each step but they walked us through everything. They were honest about pricing and timelines which gave us the ability to weigh options. They helped us get the monument our loved ones deserve and it was delivered and installed faster than originally estimated. We love the artwork, the carving was done well and the stone color is amazing. They walked us around the yard to explain different ideas, get an idea of our preferences, etc. The communication was done in person (after an easily made appointment when we called via phone) and then we worked out everything else via emails. The only difficult thing was finding the driveway because their business is located at an intersection of several streets. I would recommend this company for anything in the area. They know what they're doing and have connections to the cemetery managers. I hope this review gets your (the reader's) attention as they're a great small local business!

We hired Hamden Monument to create a tombstone for our infant son. The stone was beautifully crafted according to discussed specifications, & installed beautifully and promptly. When I then called to pay for the services rendered, my money was flatly refused- John was very clear that he would not accept any money from me as compensation. Noone should ever need to acquire a tombstone… When in need of a tombstone, Hamden Monument is the best!

Mr. Nolan & his employees were very helpful & cooperative. Their work was great. They even got the cemetery to do considerable long over due maintenance in a large area near our family grave.

5/18/21 1:30pm my son and i came to pick out a head stone for me and him. When we drove up. Mr. Nolan came out to greet us. No waiting or standing around. Top notch service!! GOD BLESS!

My family went here to get a simple headstone for our mother. Having no experience getting a headstone, I expected the employees would help guide us through the process. When we went in we were greeted by one of the long time owners who seemed to be even more confused than us-despite decades of doing this. They had no samples to show, no clear names to differentiate the different monuments, no sample designs, and nothing written with prices. It is clear that nothing about this place has been updated since they opened in the 60's or 70's.They had nothing to show but the few headstones on the lawn and when we asked about price it seemed like he made them up off the top of his head and then gave us a quote of roughly $1,000. He wrote in a very messy post-it note the dimensions and color of the headstone, but that was all the information we had. He said to email him when we had decided. So shortly after we sent an email with what he wrote on the post-it to get it finalized. The email was actually to the secretary who was now the most confused of us all and asked if we would like to come in for an appointment to speak about it. We told her that we had already gone in for an appointment and this was the information we got. She emailed us back several weeks later saying that this headstone would actually come out to $4,000! We didn't bother responding and went to another headstone place which immediately told us that our cemetery wouldn't allow this type of headstone on our plot. Nolan's monuments was about to charge us $4,000 for a headstone that we couldn't even use!

Avoid this place!!!

The people at Nolans were very kind and helpful. They listened to what i wanted and sent me an email showing me how the stone would look and nothing was done until i approved it. It was obviously a very hard time but they helped me through it. I would deffinately recommend Nolans.
