Salsco machines are quality American made products that I would recommend to anyone. I started my tree business with a 6" tow behind chipper, the 8635 model. Used it for almost 2 years, it has its quirks but I made it work. A year or so ago I bought a used 810, the 10" model, and it chips with the best of them. I rarely have to cut branch unions, once it's in the feed wheel it's gone. Easy to maintain, just a nice piece of equipment. I am hoping to one day get an even bigger one, and I am busier now than I ever have been. Much thanks to Salsco for their solid craftsmanship.

This company deals in golf course equipment but closes completely for a week in the summer during the busiest time of the year for golf courses. If your machine breaks down during this shut down good luck getting parts. How are they still in business? Our roller requires constant maintenance and breaks down often. would not recommend this brand to anyone.

I own a Salsco tow behind vac, with a Kohler motor. I replaced the exhaust more than once over the years, I recently upgradedthe engine, which requires a new exhaust, which can only be had by Salsco. I ordered the exhaust costing in the range of $300, along with some other parts.
Two days into clean ups, the exhaust slowly fell apart, welds broke, muffler blew apart. Put my out of business almost instantly when exhaust broke off. We tried to weld it to get by, machine needed complete disa ssembly to repair, still material so cheap and thin lasted only couple hours. I contacted Salsco with intention of ordering anoher new exhaust, with the thought after thouroughly explaining my issues, they would send me a new one at no charge, or maybe give me a break on the cost etc.
i dont expect anything free for unreasonable circumstances. All that being said, the lady on the phone put the company owner "sal" on the phone. Sal, told me the following. Im not going to BS you kid, the Kohler runs to hot, they dont make anything better for it, i cant help you, another exhaust will do the same thing. DO yourself a favor and have one custom made out of steel. He then said my office will credit you for the exhaust. This phone call was on November 13, 2017. I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A CREDIT, I HAVE CALLED 10 TIMES, I HAVE BEEN TOLD EVERY EXCUSE UNDER THE SUN ABOUT HOW BUSY "SAL" IS AND SOMEONE WOULD GET BACK TO ME, I HAVE BEEN POLITE AND RESPECTFULL. The down time was very costly, and the attempt has been unsuccesfull over a measly $300. SALSCO SUCKS, AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS..THANK YOU.....KEEP YOUR $300 YOU NEED IT MORE THAN ME
