Car overheated on my hour commute. Added coolant and asked the shop to check it out since I had to work all week. They fit me in, checked for leaks and only charged me for half hour work. Anywhere else would’ve charged for an hour and upsell repairs. These guys are “My Mechanic” and happy to drive a nail biting hour for the best! Thanks again!

The gentlemen at Midas were extremely helpful and kind. When I had a flat tire I limped my way to their service center right before closing and they were able to mount my spare in no time at all. They were kind and understanding and I very much appreciate their service.

Don't come here unless you're getting work done that you're certain could be accomplished by the worlds dumbest living neanderthals. In 2022 they managed to waste 200 of my dollars changing a headlight (I know, expensive. You have to take off the bumper) only for it to burn out again because the issue was the socket and not just the actual light (got it taken care of at Atlantic Auto--I'd recommend them). So, with that being said, I guess the egg is on my face for trusting them to diagnose what seemed to be a more complex issue now, 2 years later, considering thoroughness is proven to not be their forte. After $630 and a new battery, my car breaks down again 24 hours later--WITH THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOM AS THE FIRST TIME. What does Midas say? Oh, its because my gas is low (lets ignore the no low fuel warning and the fact that AAA checked the gas level during the first tow AND the fact the amount of gas was enough for it to be drive-able after the first """fix"""). Regardless, you didn't check that the first time? Wanted to be sure you got $630 out of the woman crying on the phone BEFORE you check to be sure $10 of gas wasn't the issue? I get you all have to share one brain cell and spit swap it to each other, but AT LEAST have the decency to admit you don't have the expertise to answer simple questions let alone anything that might require power tools and adult supervision.

EDIT: It seems that the manager, Danielle Acree, who was essentially the only person I spoke to during this entire botched process, can be found on the SO registry. You can only imagine for what. Corporate will be hearing about this because, frankly, I don't enjoy my money going toward a company that has an individual like that on payroll. I'm not sure how I'm expected to trust their words and actions. Careful who you bring your car to. Just plain weird, unsettling, and stressful situation.

EDIT 2 (8/9/24): HAHA. Yeah, fuel issue is laughable. Full tank of gas and the car won’t start on my lunch break. This place is staffed with the lowest echelon of human being. Added a picture of my car being towed for the THIRD TIME THIS WEEK!!

Went to go get 2 bushings pressed in a control arm, they said they would call when it was done and never did. Didn’t give me a price beforehand and when I went back to pick up my control arm they tried to charge $100 for work that should have been done in 5 min. On top of that they pressed them in too far and now it won’t even fit back into the car.

Typically always go here since I don’t have the time to do my own oil change & tire rotation. The last time I went they were backed up and had to leave to go to work so they generously provided a free oil change which I scheduled the following week. Great customer service!

Went to Midas in Groton, CT for a routine disk brake replacement at about 60,000 miles. Brakes were fully functional. After the repair job, the front driver brake failed causing damage to the disk. It was repaired at a different Midas location who said a bolt was not placed correctly. 2 wheel pins were also stripped during the initial job. This alone cost about $175 to repair elsewhere as it wasnt discovered until a subsequent tire rotation.

Update: after posting this review I was contacted by Midas Groton and the matter was settled.
