Who loves our little Historical Societies in our area will be pleasantly surprised. With three floors and plenty of rooms, it's actually a pretty large one. So be prepared to learn a lot about the history of Enfield, gun powder and more!

Amazing building with tons of artifacts and history behind it! The staff are friendly, helpful, and are interesting to talk to; you can learn many different facts here. For example, I learned that the Old Town Hall, which is the building the Historical Society is housed in, was used as a town meetinghouse, militia training ground, church, town hall, show stage, and even a rolling skating rink! Overall, this is an amazing place to visit, and it is kid-friendly too. My only complaint is their hours, but that is understandable for a historical society.

TL;DR: Great historical society with tons of artifacts, history, and interesting and helpful staff. Worth a visit whether you’re passing by, coming home from church, or whatever you’re doing on Sunday afternoon.
