My rating is based solely on the Halloween setup surrounding this business.

If you enjoy Halloween and are in the area, around the area or enjoy taking a ride somewhere to check out a scenic Halloween setup, this place is well worth it.

A lot of work has gone into this and there is a lot of detail and if you take your time it can definitely be a good 20 minute walk through.

I was sold an 80 dollar gallon of green paint that I was told would be good enough for one coat for a very small office. It clearly needed 3 coats at least. I went back after using the entire first gallon. I understand green paint is harder to cover with. But they also knew what color it was when they made it and told me one coat would suffice. Made zero effort to rectify the situation or even offer a modest discount on a second gallon. That was my first and last time shopping there. Went to Sherwin Williams and paid 20 less for the exact same quality product.

Great store always surprised they have what I need. Staff is wonderful I can't speak for the contractors buying bulk but I actually find things at a good price. Does have a great selection and the friendly helpful staff is great.

I had an excellent experience here. I have been looking for spider drive bits near me all day and nobody seems to have them. This place was kind and happened to have them and even go out of their way to get the item ready for me when I was coming. The inside of this store is nice, they have so much variety and a great atmosphere. Friendly staff and overall, I had a wonderful experience here. I'll be coming back for any more of my hardware needs!

Thankful to have this shop in the area. This place seems to have everything and the crew working there is always knowledgeable and helpful. Having this hardware store nearby has been a lifesaver over the years and it is so much more pleasant than going to HD/Lowe's. I saw others comment on their prices being high but I have actually found hardware here that was cheaper than the big stores. Even if the prices are a little higher on some items I'm happy to pay a little more to support a local small business, save myself some driving time, and receive great service and recommendations from folks who know what they are talking about.

Don't drive to the big box stores, Essex hardware had everything you need from Benjamin Moore paints to the smallest wing nut. Great customer service . I am happy they are in Essex.

Just got an exact color match to my siding in one trip. I gave up at Sherman Williams after 3 trys...and it was a Sherman Williams formula

This place is the FIRST hardware store that I've felt comfortable in. The staff are superb people, and treat everyone -- whether or not we know the term for a particular wing nut or not -- like human beings. BRAVO
