I never leave reviews on restaurants, but this place is so incredible I just had to. The food is flavorful, moist, and fairly priced! I’d never had Jamaican food before, so the kind woman behind the counter made an amazing plate for me to try everything they have to offer. BLOWN AWAY!!! Skip the Enfield fast food, and give this local joint a try!

The flavors were amazing! Very rich, well balanced flavors that stayed satisfying for the entire meal! The portions were generous. The people were extremely kind. They make their OWN seasonings and you can tell the difference. I am gluten free and they were very accommodating. The fried plantains were incredible! Perfectly cooked and almost like a pastry. The oxtails were absolutely incredible. We'll be coming back!

Have been living in Enfield for about 3 years, I used to pass through this place every day, Jamaican food, I like spice and this guy's green Scotch Bonnet peppers similar than my habaneros, so, today I make plan with the wify to stop after work and take dinner there, food is pretty good, I put a 9 of 10, a lot of flavor, people is really friendly, I do recommend 100% this place! Rice, beans, and meat area flavorful! 😋

Pros.
Food- It's rare to find Jamaican restaurants whose meat is perfectly browned without being too "light skinned" or tar black this place got it perfectly right and food looks amazing.Even the richness and density of the gravy was appetizing at 1st sight.
-Location in small Plaza but parking was ample and convenient
-Restaurant split into 2 sections, 1 for take out with a bar type counter to either eat or wait and the other to dine both including the bathroom very very clean and decorated beautifully.
Customer Service was terrific. The lady was efficient accommodating and genuine.
Price and portions were very reasonable and fairly generous.

CONS
Food despite its appearance needed more flavour. I had oxtails and brown stew pork both looked amazing but needed more seasoning.
The place was cold, not sure if they didn't put the heat on yet but it made the environment feel uninviting so I ended up eating in my car.

Overall still worth the visit if your in the area and have a Jamaican craving.

when in today 2/14/2025 for lunch. Lady was not friendly or welcoming at all. I was trying to get information on the size and what it included but she was cutting me short. I got a medium oxtail, rice and beans with veggies. meet and vegetable had no flavor and rice had a burn taste and smell to it. I couldn't eat it. i wasted $22.05 on one lunch and a soda ($3.38 for a soda). NOT WORKED IT!!!!!!

I recommend ordering takeout and eating at home, especially if you choose the stewed oxtail. That way, you get to use your hands and enjoy every little bit of that juicy, tender meat and cartilage off the bone. You do have the option to dine in. There should be enough space. After all, this place used to be where Sarapes Mexican Restaurant was for many years before they relocated to a bigger place with a bar. You will, however, have to contend with using plastic cutlery and eat from the same take out plastic calmshell. So again, take it home. I really enjoyed both the Stewed Oxtail and Stewed Pork, each with generous servings of rice with peas and cabbage. I am so very sure you will too.

I don’t order from here as much as I should. When I do order, The food is always on point, very tasty! I will definitely be ordering again soon. It’s hard to get good Caribbean food in this area I definitely recommend this spot!

Fantastic and authentic Jamaican food. Jerk chicken with rice & peas was 10/10. Love the music and the vibe. The handmade paintings are beautiful. The perfect location for easy take out too. The patties were delicious as well.
