Below is the LAW - Connecticut DOES NOT FOLLOW International Building Code: According to the National Electrical Code (NEC) section 250.50, a propane tank's grounding electrode system requires bonding all available grounding electrodes present at the site together, which typically includes a dedicated grounding rod driven near the tank, to create a single, unified grounding point; if no suitable grounding electrode exists, one must be installed as per the specifications outlined in 250.52 (A)(1) through (A)(7).
Key points about 250.50 and propane tank grounding:
Purpose:
The grounding electrode system ensures a safe path for fault current to the earth, protecting against potential electrical shock hazards.
Required electrodes:
This could include a dedicated grounding rod installed near the propane tank, the metal piping of the tank itself (if properly connected), or any other accessible grounding electrode at the site.
Bonding method:
All grounding electrodes must be bonded together using a suitable grounding conductor, creating a single point of connection.
Important considerations:
Local codes:
Always consult local building codes and electrical inspector requirements when grounding a propane tank.
Proper installation:
Ensure the grounding conductor is sized appropriately for the expected fault current and is securely connected to the tank and grounding electrode.
Maintenance:
Regularly inspect the grounding system for corrosion or damage and repair as needed.

I am updating my review. This is the temperature in my house with the NEW system installed by Spicer. I not able to use my home as intended. Was supposed to be done November of 2021 - never completed. Equipment installed failed due to their incompetence. No heat, no ac, no dehumidifier. Like close doors because there is zero air flow - which they have been aware of. This is because the ductwork is not installed to code. Besides the fact they breach contracts. In addition, when you hire Spicer Gas - they do not feel that they have to abide by the "Contract" they sign/fill out. Apparently, Spicer Gas is "Exempt" from the terms of a Contract as indicated by the Laws in Connecticut. This is what their Lawyers indicated to the AG. They also dont need to follow and CT building codes - like bond/ground the giant propane tanks they install. Which can leave all your houses as time bombs - waiting for the next storm to explode. They work with town officials to "sign off" in illegal inspections. When you do find a contractor to the work and they fill a permit. Spicer and the town Intimidate the witness/contractor to prevent them for doing the corrective work. My disability has been exacerbated, constant migraines, seizures, inability to sleep, enormous amount of stress, inability to use my home for its intended purposes of a business or a home. And Spicer sues me. Everyone that has ever used them - should have the work inspected.

Spicer has depth in terms of staffing and the range of services they can deliver. My elderly parents have been long-time propane customers in New London county. Last year when their water heater gave out, their service manager got on the phone and was able to dispatch people quickly to assess the situation and set up a temporary electric heater that kept the hot water flowing. More people from Spicer visited later to assess venting and get the water situation fixed permanently. Highly recommended!

Spicer replaced my entire electric heat pump system and was helpful throughout the entire process. I was walked through every step of the process and all my questions were answered, from the initial quote to the technicians installing my new unit. Highly recommend Spicer for any type of heating and cooling help.

Spicer has been extremely attentive and responsive to our propane needs. I’m the guy who forgets to check and has to reach out when we’re about to run out last minute. The delivery guys make time to say hello and to try to add us to the route when needed. Really appreciate their communication and business.

Seriously one of the worst companies, they never give you a date when you can expect your delivery and they're usually really snappy/ snide when you talk to them. Terrible customer service, if you don't tell them to charge you right away when you place the order they'll take their sweet time. At one point TWO MONTHS after they had delivered they decided to charge my card, I thought they had pulled their money out when they delivered, I guess not! Beware this company. Also editing to add the fact that this company only responds to positive reviews should be extremely telling, obviously the company couldn't care less about their customers and how they feel about the services they half heartedly(if you're lucky) provide.

Very grateful for Spicer services, finished the work on our furnace and our water heater in one day, spent all day at my home until job was perfectly done, brought new equipment and took old equipment away and replaced pipes and furnace and water heater. Home felt much warmer afterwards, water looking completely cleaner, cleaned everything up before leaving, full service for a great price, price is definitely worth new, better functioning equipment and feeling much safer in our home. Our family very grateful for Spicer services. Thank you very much.
