Our Family has been in business since 1927 and with the invention of the carbonated soda system and since then my family has been purchasing bottled gas from Thavenet. This relationship was congenial up till COVID. Not sure exactly when but we started noticing irregularities in our bill where we where suddenly being charged for tank rental. This was not the practice or business model I was aware of. We were never charged for tank rental there was a DEPOSIT COLLECTED and a charge for the gas, when you brought back the tank it was filled and the only charge was the GAS. I ask my wife to address this and all that came from that was a run around between the shop and the wife of the owner who worked from home trying to justify there billing. When questioned about the tank rental my wife was told that They have always charged a rental fee. This is not true between inconsistent billing with periods of months passing with no bill then receiving them with interest for late payment. I went to the shop to address this matter equipped the payment documents dating back to 2010 illustrating the way I know our business relationship to be. Once called out things changed and I was told the get the out of what he called his business and go somewhere else. Not the reaction I was expecting but a topical one for when your called out

I hired Thavenet Machine Company to drill 144 small (4mm) holes in a sheet of aluminum. I gave them a drawing that I made for the precise placement.

I wanted Thavenet to do this job because I knew the people there and was sure that they would do a great job.

Well… the job was completed in the time that I needed it and they did a great job. All of the holes matched perfectly for me.

Had a great experience here, I dealt with Chris today. He was polite, professional and extremely helpful. I was getting set up with welding gas, supplies and steel. Their prices we hands down the best compared to any other store, and were just as good as online, but I will always support a local store if they're reasonable, which they more than were. I explained what i was trying to build and Chris helped me choose the better of the materials to get. He then cut them to fit in my truck. I am glad I live 4 miles away, I will most definitely be back.
