I used the self checkout this morning at around 8:15. I had no problems/issues. There was a woman, however, checking out opposite me. She didn't know what she was doing, constantly yelling at the associate for help. Grumbling, yelling, using foul language (with her children/grandchildren standing beside her) complaining constantly. The associate, whose name I do not know, was pleasant, helpful and courteous. Never once did she raise her voice or lose her temper. She actually smiled and told the miserable woman to have a great day!! THAT is exceptional customer service and this kind woman deserves to be recognized for it.

I normally only shop at the other places; ShopRite, S&S and Wally World..but was hungry and needed a few things so figured to stop to get one of the meals. Glanced the flyer and saw they had seafood dinners for less than $10 and said “why not”.
Ordered the Fried Bay Scallops w/fries and coleslaw..it was 8.99….lemme repeat..8.99!!! The portion was huge for what you pay for..scallops were cooked perfectly (even if it is pre-packaged and all they do is heat it up..that’s neither here nor there..I’m basing it on the price).
The fries…only about 1/4 of them were edible, rest were on the hard side. Overall..excellent price point and you get a good amount for that price. Well worth it and will be going back another time.

I do all of my grocery shopping here but today is making me think hard about changing. I s
Did my food shopping as usual and decided to pick up a thank you card for a friend and an Amazon gift card to put in it. I went to the self checkout and, because I didn't want everything in my bag sitting on it, I saved the card and gift card for last. When I scanned the gift card a message came up saying " leave the item on the scanner and wait for attendant.". The attendant came over and informed me that gift cards cannot be purchased at the self checkout. The only solution was to go wait in line at a regular check out with the bag gull of groceries I had already scanned. I handed him the gift card and thank you card and told him I would not be purchasing them. I should have left everything and walked out but I paid for what was scanned.and left unhappily.
There should be some posted.notice.if gift cards cannot go through self check out. Had I known I would have happily used a regular check out.
This was just one of several disappointing experiences I have had since the store became a Market 32.

My fiance went to market 32 as we do once a week to buy what we need for the week. Market 32 is constantly selling meat that expires the same day so make sure you check your meets people. My fiance noticed the date on the package as it's going to expire either today or tomorrow so he brought it back to the deli to get it recut, so that we can have fresh meat for the rest of the week as when people usually buy lunch meat they buy it so they can make sandwiches or for the kids to have sandwiches during the week. When my fiance returned to the deli to get the meat cut fresh the deli worker threatened him. Acting like a fool and then told us we don't know who he were talking to in not such nice words. This store is constantly doing this I have had more than one problem with their deli meat being sold the same day it expires do not appreciate that kind of customer service and definitely will find someplace else to shop for now on

Marketplace 32 by Price Chopper is excellent! We went walking around and found many items were very reasonable, considering the prices at other supermarkets. We found one item to be more expensive than 2 other stores (not bad, 1 item!). Next time I'll bring my camera! Oh yes, the folks that worked there were very kind & helpful. Especially since today was the first time opening! We definitely decided to stay here for our shopping needs, unless things change... we hope not!

Worst customer service ever!! Not only in the bakery department especially when you call to order a cake and the lady on the phone has a rotten attitude, no customer service skills what so ever, was very rude, so I politely said never mind and have a nice day and hung up, I could've been way worse but not going to let someone like her get to me, if you don't like your job than do something about it, ordered my cake from stop and shop instead. Had no assistance with helping me set up an appropriate time to pick up a cake early in the morning, she was incredibly rude. Also, in the checkout lines they don't even bag your groceries anymore for you when you bring your own bags. I guess it's not just here but everywhere for that matter, but customer service absolutely sucks!

There was once a Time I would of said this was a good place to shop. Now it's full of very lazy workers. Food court area is trailed with trash half the time. Those who work the area for the foodcourt/hot foods area run away when you go up there.(lady with glasses saw me and hid in back.) Last time I was able to talk to anyone the cash register didn't work, hot table empty, soups empty and soda machine which is on has no cups. I know nothing will probably be resolved but i try to still hold out hope.

So they changed the name and the layout but nothing else has really changed that I can see other than they have removed all but one (non functional) scale from the entire produce department. (More on that in a minute.)
-Anything that is on sale in the entire store is likely to be out of stock.
It's a shame because I pick up prescriptions here often for a disabled family member and the pharmacy technicians are very professional and friendly and even remember my name. Since the renovation even the clumps of dust and whatnot hanging from the pharmacy sign have been banished, at least for now. Today after picking up a prescription at the pharmacy I decided to pick up some small items

-Second-rate produce at a premium price. If you buy a bag of russet potatoes expect black spots inside and some with deep gouges into the flesh. Onions often have layers of brown inside. Really the whole store is overpriced. All of their tomatoes cost the same price, currently four dollars a pound. Even plum tomatoes which cost 89 cents al Aldi. At least they aren't even pretending to be a "price chopper" anymore. This is the most expensive produce in town and the quality is not there.

I went wandering around looking for a scale to weigh 2 oranges. I found one man stocking produce and asked him where the scales went. "There's one in the front" was his less than helpful answer. I go wandering toward the front of the department and he starts shouting from behind me: "Farther! To your right!" I find the single electronic scale but it has all zeroes on the display even when I place my oranges on it. Looking for a reset button or something I was doing wrong I removed my bag and pressed the button with a yellow circle on it because it has the most damage from use of the plastic covering all of the buttons so I thought it might be helpful. The scale went blank and still would not weigh my produce. I brought my bag of oranges back to the employee who directed me there and left the oranges with him along with a complaint about second rate produce and no working scales. "Go to Stop and Shop" was his response. I did.

The food court is still mainly a hangout for the local homeless population.
I get a kick out of reviewers from outside the area giving five star s to this place. If they only knew. Rude unhelpful employees and the highest prices in town, unless it's on sale and out of stock.
