With wildly friendly and helpful volunteer staff, a clean setup, and so many different mini maker spaces within their studio, it's truly haven for creativity! I went for a group bonding activity and left eager to get a membership.
They have volunteer run classes available for newbies, and most importantly a little kitchen with tea available to get the mind going

Perfect for the budding entrepreneur and/or inventor. There are a ton of tools provided that are simply too expensive to purchase at a hobbyist level. I mostly use the woodshop here but there is so much more that MakeHaven has to offer! 3D printing, laser cutters, etc. and a really friendly community. Disclaimer: I'm what's called a "Community Animator" at Make Haven so I happen to like this place quite a bit 🙂

This is by far the very best place in New Haven. Forget about Yale, the real stuff happens at makehaven. The variety of tools they have, the access to knowledge, the ability to learn new skills very fast, and most of all the caring community makes it a very unique place. In many aspect makehaven is what the society should be: inclusive, accessible, creative, collaborative, and based on trust. Thank you to whoever makes this possible.
