I've been having trouble with my gas fireplace so i called Hocon as they are my propane supplier. they were happy to come and take a look. Two very knowledgeable guys came and determined my fireplace was installed improperly (things under the fake logs were melting, wires cracked, gas valve missing spring). these guys were there for about 30 minutes, and i live about 6 minutes from their location, so call it 15 minutes for driving there and back. The service bill for the 45 minutes of their time came back at $239.29 wow. let me know if you guys are hiring because i need a job that pays this well for having a conversation and not doing any actual labor. Don't get me wrong, they know what they are doing, but for just looking at the fireplace and to diagnose the issue i was personally expecting $100-$150 for a "verbal job". They did offer to waive the fee if i have the perform the service. which i was quoted about $2,500 and cannot afford to do right now. unfortunately the fireplace cost about $3,000 so i don't even know what i should do. just get a new one or pay for a repair. oh well....too pricy for me.

Rob Pertoso helped me convert my wood fireplace to a Mendota FV44i gas insert fireplace. It warms up the house very fast as Rob recommended it would. They installed a 100 gallon tank and ran all the lines without any issues. Even hooked up my grill. Bye, bye filling up propane tanks.

I live in the Danbury area and wanted my BBQ hooked up directly to my propane tanks to save myself the time and trouble of having to refill the tank. Shortly after that I had an insert put into my fireplace to run it more easily (and cleaner) with propane. I contacted Hocon Gas and dealt with Rob P both times, who was wonderful. He came over a few days after my first call to take measurements and put together an estimate within a week. Job was scheduled without a problem and workers came on time. Both hook-ups needed to be signed off on by the inspector and Rob took care of scheduling that for me too. I also spoke a few times with Darren in the service department and he was equally as helpful and professional. I am now purchasing a generator for my home. Once again, I contacted Hocon and spoke with Rob P, who came by my house within a few days to give me a proposal. Fair prices, professional service, all around great experiences. I would highly recommend Hocon Gas for all your propane needs.

I recently had a problem with my oil heating system and decided to replace it with an LP gas system. I needed to get the appropriate size gas tank so I contacted several suppliers. My best experience was with Hocon Propane.
Once I contacted them, they said Rob the sales rep would call me. He did so immediately. He scheduled an appointment and kept it. He carefully went over what they would do and sent me a quote. While price is important sometimes what makes the difference is service as it was in this case. Rob showed a genuine concern for making sure the job was done correctly and on time and even showed concern about possible damage to my lawn because of the location of the tank. Once I approved
the order they installed the tank at my convenience with no problem. I Also would like to mention that the price was also good.
