This place is horrible, mainly building 14, I arrived at 7:30, my appointment was at 8am, when I checked in they sent me to building 10, they loaded me in like 45 minutes, not bad. When I returned to building 14 at 9, they didn't load the other half until 11:45, therefore I couldn't deliver on time. That was Thursday, I was supposed to deliver half in GA that same day and the other half in NC. Friday morning I picked up from there to go to Florida and get home Saturday to be able to spend Father's Day with the family, but due to the lazy employees I am today, Father's Day, 600 miles from home. I will not return to that place even if it is the last load in the area.

The worst place to unload ever. Check in at shipping office at 6am, they didn’t get started unloading me until 8:40am. With no other trucks in line, you would think I would have been out quicker. Every time I went to check to see why it’s taking so long the guy that unloaded me was standing, talking and playing with everyone that walked by. When I told him to please unload me he slowed down even more.

Stay away from loading here anytime before 10am!! If i could give 0 stars to this place i would ! Got here at 9:30 was sent to another building to load half of the load, came back and was told i had to wait in the back of the line again!! Already 2:30pm. Slowest place too load.

UNLOAD: Got here at 6:05am checked in at building 14, pulled around back where directed. 6:32 first bundle is off my truck. Done by 6:45

I arrived at 9:30 AM. Appointment time was 10
AM. I was loaded at 3 PM. My broker (Landstar) does not want to pay me detention fee because shipper said I checked in @11:38pm.

So I call Vulcan shipping and STEVE answers. I knew it’ll be a weird conversation so I asked politely and respectfully about how there was a misunderstanding with my check in time. He was rude and did not budge with helping me out and said “he’ll meet me outside and stand his ground” even if I had to go there in person to dispute this. He’s so tough because he threatened to have a sheriff by his side. He definitely was not raised right. Steve be a better human please.

Vulcan,your company does dishonest work. I’m not even mad that I might not see the $150. I’m upset because lying about my check in time is pathetic

Note to drivers: WHEN YOU CHECK IN,TAKE A PHOTO OF TIME AND NAME OF PERSON CHECKING YOU IN SO YOU DONT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS

If no stars were an option....poor communication, poor planning which is common between companies and their brokers. Told to be here at 8 am and show up to be told that the load wasn't supposed to load until 1 pm. Got sent to 3 locations before they told me about the pick up time, not being until the afternoon. In this day and age of trucking why ? With all the up to the minute technology we have ?
