Scored some front row seats. WASTE. People from the seats were able to come stand in front of the front row...I had to stand at the gate all night body blocking to save our spots. Security is a joke. They dgaf and will do nothing. It would be one thing if it was pit...this was rows of chairs...with maybe 3 ft of room up front. That 3ft stayed full. Now if you want that type of venue this is for you. No food and the card readers kept failing. Glad I brought cash! But this venue is definitely one of those do what you want types so don't waste $$$ on good seats. Just go stand there. Good thing it was such a good lineup. Also meet n greets areas need updating...eww. And why no food?

The Civic Center Theatre was nice to watch the Nutcracker ballet 🙂 It was definitely a fairly large theatre, with nice staff and fairly comfortable seats. The theatre did seem a bit old, with a slight odor like of old furniture. I think the walls could be a little more decorated, as they were just plain matte dark blue. The spotlight coming from the top of the theatre was also emitting more light on the balcony than I would have expected, though I did sit near the top of the balcony area. Lastly, I think the sound system could have been more surround and better quality, as the ballet played the music for the Nutcracker rather than having live music. Overall, it was a nice experience and only a few things that could be improved ^^

Wow! I had An Amazing time here last night when I attended The Shen Yun Performing Arts Show. The Show was Amazing and Inspiring, I was in Total Awe with joy the whole time while watching the show! The Performers were So Talented and Awesome. The staff and MPD Officers were helpful and friendly as well.

Saw Bert Kreischer here tonight among other things over the years. Riser chairs are fairly uncomfortable and tightly packed but it’s a good venue.

I have been coming here throughout my whole life. My mind is always filled with memories of the past when I come here. It will always be a special place to me where my being is transported into magical worlds or ballet and theater.
I would love to praise the staff that was there last night. Especially the young girl managing the upstairs chaos of people. She was so very cheerful and kind. The security guard my family and I interacted with upstairs was very kind also. I would love to see the theater get upgrades. It is nice, but I would love to see it even nicer. I will always love coming here. ❤️

Seating is super tight. Your legs have to fold underneath the seat . Theatre is hot and stuffy. Not clean. Late crowds were blocking view for first 15 minutes of Holidaze show. Ushers not directing crowds other than to point. Elderly having trouble with stairs. No handrails.Small table of concessions. A very disappointing venue overall.

Clean and air conditioned. One of the better places to host large events. Parking is additional and can take time to get out of parking. Location near downtown and 1-10 make for easy access.
