Recently named one of the top 30 breweries in the nation by Vine pair, I stopped in on my way back to Maine from New York.

Double inundation was a fantastic hazy NEIPA. Pillowy soft mouthfeel, full of flavor, everything you'd want in a good hazy. Nice brewery space.

These guys are on my street, it’s no wonder I stop there every other week to enjoy the food trucks and some good ole beer. Pictured Cider co. blueberry hard cider and a Czech Pils, Vltava. We are just waiting for our food from Smetana the food truck, chicken, schnitzel sandwich, potato & cheese pierogi and cheese hash brown. Hump day goodies.. Thanks Counterweight and Smetana..

Seriously one of the best breweries in the state hands down. Extensive tap list and drink selections for everyone and all ages. Everyone will leave here happy with what they were served.

The staff? I don't even know where to begin. There isn't a single staff member that WON'T make you feel like you're at home. They all are warm people to match the warm interior. Friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. They're all phenomenal at what they do.

Their food truck selection is rotating and changes weekly. They also allow BYOB which is great considering some of the food being slung in Cheshire!

Going to Counterweight is like being home.

10.7.23 We had a group of 15 ppl and everyone had a great time. Lots of parking. The place is huge indoors and outdoors. The staff serving the beer was friendly and quick. There were people wiping down tables and clearing empties. The food truck was good. The place itself is really cool. And my beer, the Bygone was friggin amazing 👏. Thank you for a great 1st impression. Loved it here.

I loved how spacious this brewery is! Allot of the time when brewerys are that busy it takes a while to get served and is crowded. However that is not the case here! It is so spacious especially with the second floor that also has a small bar! Great idea! I wasn't the biggest fan of their sour but my bf liked the IPA he got

Counterweight never disappoints. Ended a wonderful day with a Belgian Lager and some BBQ, and a beautiful black lab pup came over for a pet and a belly rub. Doesn’t get any better than this.

I went to the previous location a year or 2 back but this was my first time at the new brewery. I thought the space was awesome and I absolutely LOVE the beers. These guys are making killer lagers and IPAs. Didn’t get a chance to sample other styles beyond that but I’m sure they’re all great.

Spring 2024 Update: Popped in this past Saturday (4/20) to meet up with some friends and they were having their Seventh Anniversary Party! So exciting and awesome to see a local business thriving and packed to the gill with friendly folks and families at such a wonderful event. The Anniversary beer (Maibock) was extremely tasty, the service was attentive and joyful, they even had a greenhouse on site selling flowers and two great local food truck and to top it off, two wonderful rocking bands! If you haven't popped into here yet - you really should!!! A 10/10 day.

Update: I finally made it to the new spot in Cheshire and it was super easy to get to (left off 691 exit, left onto East Johnson, right onto Diana Court) and I was not disappointed. Counterweights IPAs are still delicious (shout out Space Coyote!) and the lager. pilsners are A+ on point, they are so so so so good - the Ein Helles, Pre Pro Lager, Workhorse are works of art. The Drudenhaus Rauchbier was also excellent - and not a beer I would typically go for. Staff was attentive and welcoming, I cannot wait to get back here!

Had a great experience at Counterweight this past Friday, the inside isn't open yet so we sat on the patio. Beers were tasty, (I had the Strategem and Midnight Briar) staff was polite and knowledgeable, they are super safe and smart about the 'rona restrictions. The Food truck was good too! can't wait to go back!
