As a son of a Naval Officer and being a bit of a history buff, I thoroughly enjoyed this historical site. I could have spent an entire day exploring the USS Alabama alone. We started walking the grounds and paid our respect at the memorials in addition to admiring the historical planes. The museum has some informative displays. The USS Drum provided a unique look at underwater life. I highly recommend a visit when you are in the area.

So fascinating, so humbling. So very humbling. My pops was in a nuclear sub, seeing the way those boys lived was definitely eye opening. These memorials/museums were so very well laid out and curated. Hard to believe this was all on donations, please go see it!! Self guided tours, allowing time to really look at it all. The rounds on this thing were eye opening. The photos of the*children* we sent off to war, it's very humbling. My husband was super excited to show me the tanks he commanded in the US Army. Very nice to meet other veterans throughout the exhibit as well.

Must see museum. One of the best I have been to. Great educational experience. If you're a fan of WW2 history and Naval participation, pretty damn good place to visit. Family friendly. Awesome aviation display ,as well as a submarine to explore (SS DRUM). Had the pleasure to see the reenactment of the Japanese surrender document signing. Was not disappointed.

I can spend a whole day here, the ship is huge and you can tour 90% of the ship. Amazing views of the Gulf and tons of other world war 2 war machines. Planes, jets, helicopters. Very nice memorials and information. Definitely worth the visit and make sure you have plenty of time. 2 hours wasn't enough.

Great visit took about 2 and a half hours full attention with two 11 year old boys. They loved the battleship and submarine as well as the tanks and other aircraft outside. Would recommend and glad I visited with my son

We had a great time for sure. For the price of admission you get the inside museum, the battleship, as well as the submarine. We took our children ages 3-17 and all had a great time. Make sure you follow your tour guide numbers, it makes it very easy to navigate when you do so you don’t miss anything. Be prepared for climbing up and down steep ladders so appropriate shoes are definitely recommended. Our 3 year old was in her flip flops and she kept knocking them off her feet. Overall took us about 2 hours to do everything. Could take way longer if you wanted to read everything. All in all I would recommend this tour to learn about this impressive battleship and our countries history.

Lot of history, great place to take the family and staff are very friendly also. This is a must-see gem. What a wonderful place to spend an entire day exploring and learning and yes exercising because there's a lot of walking. The flight simulator was okay The speakers weren't really that loud we could hear the machine shake and make gear noises versus hearing the noises of the plane. My recommendation would be to turn up the speakers for you can get a real feel of flying a plane. Great place to go can't wait to go back again and thank you for preserving everything in this wonderful museum. I took over 200 photos but unfortunately Google will only allow me to tag 50 so please follow and check out all the wonderful photos that I've taken.

Really enjoyed this experience, seeing all the airplanes, jets, tanks, and other military vehicles. The highlight is touring the USS Alabama. The tour is self directed and is really interesting. The tour takes you from below deck to high up on the bridge. Be aware that there are many stairs, and being on a ship, some stairs are more like ladders. Seeing the ship and all the quarters is very interesting and makes you appreciate what sacrifices our servicemen made.
There is also a submarine to tour as well, though we did not have time to tour it as we spent so much time touring the Alabama.
The aircraft at the museum are also very impressive. Many aircraft from multiple eras are on display, with the SR71 Blackbird being my favorite. Many memorials also are located at the park.
Parking is $5 and entry to the museum was $15 for seniors and $18 for adults.
Well worth the price.
