HORRIBLE experience. Got notified my IKEA was delivered but did not see it outside. I couldn't find the number for AIT so I called IKEA, who re-ordered the item for me. The gentlement from IKEA called AIT, who confirmed the item was delivered to wrong address (less than 30 minutes prior) but would not tell me where and refused to pick it up and deliver it to my house. I spent my afternoon driving around town and posting on facebook groups to find my item. Fast forward 4 days- I get home from work to an AIT delivery driver blocking my driveway and at my doorstep trying to confirm that my item was found. He asked for a picture of the boxes (which I did not have). I shut the door and five minutes later, he was knocking AGAIN- this time asking to ENTER my home to take a picture of the item. Apparently his boss was going to make him pay for the item which he incorrectly delivered. I refused to let him in and once he left, he TEXTED me. His boss apparently never told him it was misdelivered until days after, even though I called within 30 minutes.
This was BEYOND unprofessional. Do better.
For a company to employ people who are comfortable enough to harass me for their mistake is horrible. Never ever using this company again and I reccommend you do the same. I am genuinely scared that this man is going to reach out to me again or show up at my doorstep.

on 1/4/24 AIT delivered a sectional that I purchased from Home Sense. We discovered after the drivers left that the chaise portion was damaged. We called the drivers who stated they picked it up that way. They never notified us of the damage. Home Sense claims it was not damaged when it was loaded on their truck, nor did the drivers notify the staff at Home Sense. Back and forth with AIT for weeks- filed their claim form. It is now going on 4 weeks and AIT has stopped replying to my emails. They have effectively ignored me. Mary from AIT claimed she was going to find a repair company to get it repaired and she has not. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. For what I paid for the furniture, it should not be broken and they should be taking responsibility for the actions of their staff.

This review is for an Ikea order pick-up (since this company also offers delivery services). The pick up process was easy and smooth. We were greeted and assisted right away as we walked up to the building. The only downside is their limited hours (8-2:30 as of this review) and only back roads to their location, so plan accordingly. I’d definitely choose this option again in the future for Ikea orders (without large furniture).

I scheduled an IKEA online order for pickup at this hub. I was notified by IKEA it was delivered on May 15th. On May 17th, I called IKEA to verify that it was at the warehouse in Connecticut and not being delivered to my home in NY; they stated it was waiting in CT.

Since IKEA gives you 48 hours to pick up orders before canceling them I called AIT Connecticut through their phone number on Google, letting them know I would be there to pick up my order either Friday the 19th or Saturday the 20th. They acknowledged I was coming and even told me “The hours were 9-230.”

That Friday we made a 4-hour trip to the warehouse, arriving at 130, where we discovered there was no one there. After knocking on doors and windows, we eventually called IKEA. After about a half hour of waiting, they informed us they hd reached an AIT rep when the call had dropped. She believed they hung up on her.

Running out of time, we called the Google AIT number and were informed we were contacting New Jersey. I explained the issue and asked the rep to contact someone at the hub to come let us in: I was (rudely) informed that “she” (whoever “she” was) said that “this isn’t happening today” and “to call IKEA.” I informed her I had already contacted them two days ago, where they verified our items were in the CT warehouse I was parked in front of, the rep said “she” wouldn’t confirm whether the items were there or not and, again, “this wasn’t happening today.”

I did everything right: called both IKEA and AIT in advance to verify our order was there, let them know I was coming, and showed up early. Yet somehow I’m at fault because they can’t even keep their staff in the building during posted hours.

Incompetent, lazy, and dishonest. We had IKEA furniture delivered, and were to have the old furniture removed. The drivers showed up and immediately brought the new cartons in. Then they said they didn’t have instructions to remove furniture. After calling dispatch, they started to remove a couch, but apparently couldn’t figure out how to get it out the door. They were too lazy to take one cartons back out to have more room to move. They called dispatch again and told me another truck would come.

After several calls to the company, during which I was bounced around, I was told someone would come between 2 & 4 PM. At 3:45 I called again and told nobody would be coming out because the drivers found bugs in the couch! They said the driver took pictures. I asked for them and they sent pictures of some random couch that was clearly not ours (I took my own pictures for comparison). It was obvious that the drivers didn’t want to come back and try moving the old couches. (My son and I got them out the door even with new cartons in the way.)

We had a friend haul away the old furniture and IKEA refunded our removal charge immediately. If you’re ordering anything big from IKEA, arrange your own transportation. Select Express is not to be trusted.

Had a horrible experience. Took two tries, the first crew (although they had a very professional demeanor) were unable to successfully assemble a bureau despite spending six hours on it, and then didn't have time to assemble the other unit. After hours (literally) on hold with Ikea and SelectExpress was able to reschedule another try on Friday. When the second crew arrived they at first refused to put together the second item. Called their boss who concurred, blamed things on Ikea, and claimed the screw-up on Monday was irrelevant for today. After a prolonged and unnecessary argument did he have them assemble the piece. While I had insisted an early delivery was necessary, I wasn't informed that there was a second truck coming to pick up the piece the first crew screwed up. I'm still waiting. Avoid them, which means avoiding Ikea delivery and assembly.

They are the worst company to work with. I complained already to IKEA that how this company lie after another lie. First they call last minutes and rescheduled the delivery and then the 2nd delivery was at 7:00pm that they have to assemble the full house furniture. Guess what they sent one person to do it. I called and they blamed IkEA. Be careful with working with this company. The delivery guys was so awesome, they just followed what the company give them order. I felt so bad for them that even they didn't have a safety back belt. Even they abuse there own employees too.

Truly an abysmal experience. Delivery guys are nice. Customer service is horrid. A huge part of my Ikea order was missing when they delivered it. It’s been weeks. Both me AND Ikea themselves have had a bad time talking to them about the rest of my order, which they apparently don’t care to get to me. I ordered the stuff in March. It has been WEEKS. It’s May now. Apparently I can do the honors of picking up my stuff from their delivery warehouse. They don’t care to bring it out to me according to both the service rep I talked to and the guy Ikea talked to. Great. Thank you for your horrible service.
