One star is extremely generous and I'll direct it to the workers who gave it their best. A to Z installed my fence after Hurricane Sally damaged my 15-year-old privacy fence. The work was neat, pickets were straight and the fence looked good from a distance. However, the quality of wood was extremely poor, several of the 15-year-old support posts were left in corners and used instead of new posts, and aluminum screws that are now rusting were used on about a third of the fence. A couple of months after installation, a storm with wind typical for this area blew the 105' length of 10' pickets almost over. I called A to Z for help, but they NEVER came. They informed me over the phone that they were not responsible for "wind damage" and that they were extremely busy. I contracted with another company for repair and learned the damage occurred because the support posts were too small and were not installed deep enough to support a 10' fence. The deepest hole was less than 15" and not enough concrete was used. The inadequate installation was a huge disappointment, and the absolute lack of response and failure to accept responsibility was unprofessional and inexcusable. This weekend, I had the contractor who repaired the leaning 10' section install four additional support posts for the 6' high fence on the side of my property as the concrete from the A to Z installation was already above ground on a couple of posts. Buyer beware as there are no professional standards applied to fence contractors in Baldwin County.
