I want very much to leave a positive review on here. I enjoy the city I live in. I can’t however , in good faith, do that at this time. I’ll start my story by saying I’m a criminal. I played with my dog in the park off leash. I feel a great deal of remorse of my actions and have learned a valuable lesson. It’s a shame that I’m labeled as such now while our parks house an abundance of “urban campers” and all there amenities like needles and littering. For a department and city that recently looked to expand its law enforcement budget, it is disheartening to see that request go to such backward thinking that targets its tax paying citizens for a simple thing as playing with a dog in a park. My dog is a well certified trained dog in various modalities and obedience courses to include AKC courses. I will fully admit I was breaking the code playing ball on our own in our local park. I’m certain our drug related homeless population is also in violation of city codes as well. I hope we can all agree that prioritizing the overall well being of the city is of greater importance then my dogs exercise needs. I however appear to be wrong

I’m so glad my taxes go to pay state and city officials who spend more time writing rules to keep them from having to enforce laws and code rather than actually enforcing the laws. Law abiding citizens get bent over backwards to carry the community while you all doing everything in your power to protect the ne’er-do-wellers.

They don’t have to register their cars, there are laws to protect them from towing. They don’t have to leash their dogs, if you can’t catch them on camera and know their address there’s no way to enforce the law. You can’t make them clean up after their pets, because again unless the PUBLIC puts in the due diligence there is no way to enforce the law. People can literally destroy and deface public property and private property, but the likelihood of prosecution is slim to none. Your apartment can be unable to meet the needs of their residents, but so long as they can document their efforts the residents just get to keep paying despite actually being provided services on top of astronomical rent. YaY for liberal Colorado! You guys have it all figured out.

I have dealt with a lot of building departments in Colorado and Westminster is easily one of the best. Their office is always very helpful and very easy to work with. And their inspectors are always fair and informative especially Glenn.

These people never ever seem to care about cleaning up the trails. It's dangerous, mean and just shows how lazy people are.
