I called in an order for 20 pork chops for my FIL’s 88th birthday. They told me they would call when they were ready. They never called, so I just showed up at 4:30 since I knew they closed at 5pm. The lights were off and the doors were locked. I check Facebook and see this post. After trying to call them, I decided to post beneath their comment.

They responded to my comment and said something like. Yes ma’am we’re sorry. It was a misunderstanding on our side.

I replied and said something like - I appreciate your apology and I understand mistakes happen, but that doesn’t help my current situation. Thankfully Publix had what I needed.

They promptly deleted the entire thread. (I didn’t get screen shots of the last two posts referenced above before they deleted everything). That was it. No - we’re so sorry we inconvenienced you and put you in a bind - how can we make this right - nothing.

After talking to my sister-in-law, I learned this same thing happened to her they last time she tried to use them for a big order!!

I share this - so that if you have a big order and an important event - don’t rely on them to honor the order. And don’t think they’ll make it right if they make a mistake.

I will not be using Mike’s Meat Market again. This was just bad customer service and bad business.

Mike's meats packaging, combo options and staff are unmatched! For a family of 3 it's a great money saver, because he automatically wraps a 2 lb. packet of bacon into individual pounds, for easier freezing if needed. Plus his combo choices can't be beat!! Highly recommend!!

This business is actually originally owned by my cousin. They make amazing meat!! We get the chicken fries and tenders from there and we love them. (We being I and my family)
Also, the “school pizzas” they sell are pretty good!

Arrived on my lunch break at 1:30 pm on Thursday 12/28. Doors were locked. Hours on the window say 9-5pm, but the doors are locked tight, and my shift ends at 5:30 after they close. I'm not sure what happened here, but the inconsistent times of operation and random closures are too much of a gamble to continue being a customer any longer. I'll take my business to Midtown from here on out.

Mike's had exactly what my husband wanted. Ribeye steaks so fresh and pork chops that haven't been sitting in a grocery store case for weeks. Prices were VERY reasonable too! The lady at the register was friendly, helpful and very beautiful. AND they offer a military discount! There isn't anything bad about Mike's! We will continue to make the 90 mile round-trip drive for Mike's!

Mike's has been our favorite spot for years! He's always got the best prices and everyone is so nice! We usually do one big order a month and it's available to pick up the next day. Service is quick and great!
