I have been supporting RCI for a few years. Sadly over the years RCI has changed for the worst. All of my protection products are RCI. The last dealing I had was pretty bad. They told me it would be 6-8 weeks. I started calling at the three month mark always having an excuse as to why one thing was done but not the other. They told me one more week. At month four I called. They said one more week and I will get the email. Two weeks later I call because the email never arrived. I was told they’ve been done for a while. Sales told me they would drop ship them instead of me picking them up because of all of the issues. That never happened. Recently I needed something else and since all of my armor is RCI I stayed with them. They now have a policy that will charge you for the honor of picking things up. While dealing with the issues last year I was promised multiple phone calls back which never happened. I was promised emails that never happened. I have emailed them on multiple occasions with zero response. The quality is great, 5 stars on that. Customer service is way off. They’re great at events but once the tent comes down, it’s all gone. There are a lot of choices in armor, I wanted to stay local. At this point I feel that was a mistake

UPDATE:
Since my original review, the customer service team has reached out to me and has committed to resolving the issue. If I'm not able to repair the bent brackets, they have agreed to send new sliders. Updated to 4 stars from 1 star. If all goes well, I'll probably do business with them again because I like their products.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
So I bought these really awesome sliders from RCI for my 2023 F150. The pallet they arrived on was falling apart, and two of the brackets were bent. I’ve been trying to get some support from them for over six weeks now. Multiple emails and phone calls have been sent, but they are ghosting me. I was promised a callback but it never came. I’m hoping there is a simple solution, but they are not helping me find it. I expect better customer service…especially after paying over $1,000 for the sliders and $400 for shipping. If anyone from RCI is out there, my order number is 94088. Awesome product, garbage customer service. I previously purchased some skid plates. Those are great. I didn’t have any issues with ordering, shipping, or installation.

Highly Recommended!
Start to finish this was the most painless, ease of install(do to great instructions) cost effective, stout, attractive under belly skid plate system….. FJ Cruiser - engine, trans, transfer + added cross member, and rear diff skids. 3/16 powder coated steel. They have done their research. 4 hour install for 1 man. No issues.

Super happy with the Tundra Gen2 Aluminum engine skid plate. Had issues with the parts pack shipped (wrong quantities of bolts) and customer service quickly shipped me a replacement. This is my second time ordering from RCI in the last seven years and got the same great products and service both times.

I shopped for months looking for a quality, full length, flat roof rack for my Gen 5 2021 Toyota 4Runner Limited Nightshade that was also reasonably priced. In one of the 4Runner forums someone mentioned being very pleased with their rack from RCI. After a bit more online research I purchased mine. Ordered on 3/27/2024. Delivered via FEDEX on 4/10/2024 and installed the same day (of course, LOL). Straightforward install, no drilling needed. Took me an hour to remove old rack and install this one by myself. Super sturdy. Endlessly customizable T-Slot mounting system in the cross bars. Looking forward to putting it to work! Well priced, excellent quality and made in the USA in Loveland, CO. It matters to me, and it should matter to you.

Short and sweet: Yes I would recommend RCI, and I will shop here in the future.

I have the engine and transmission skids currently installed. Quality seems good, but I have yet to bash them on anything yet. Nice fasteners too!

I did have a shipment that contained the wrong parts. The part was for a 4 Runner not my GX460. Once I got in contact with Scott, everything was resolved in a timely manner, and he even went above and beyond during the return process and refund.

I perceive them as a small shop and team. Their prices are good, but a little patience will likely be needed if there is an issue. I recommend calling direct and dialing for tech support. They will make it right, just give them a chance!

The process of ordering a roof rack from this company, has been anything but enjoyable. I ordered the roof rack and was told on several occasions that it would take between 4-6 weeks, it is 8 weeks now and still I have not received my roof rack. I should have trailrax roof rack, it would have arrived 6 weeks ago.

Update: RCI called me and made things right! Refunded the shipping costs and told me they redid how the work shipping. I’m looking forward to ordering more in the future, hopefully quicker!

I bought the 18 inch bedrack for my 2015 Tacoma. First, after a month of waiting, they sent me the wrong length, then told me they’d send the new components that day so I’d have it by the end of the week. A week after that phone call, I called back saying I hadn’t received it and they told me they hadn’t sent it out yet. I paid an extra $60 to have it 2 day shipped so I’d have it for a trip I was going on. As of today and calling FedEx, only a label has been made and it was never put into the system. I’m incredibly disappointed in their willingness to work with me and their lack of commitment on their own word.
