Our margaritas were pretty good. The kind that sneek up on ya. Guacamole was great and the chips were yummy. The salsa has a mild bite. My personal preference is when it's warm. I think there's would be phenomenal if it were warm. The plates and serving size are HUGE. MY husband & I should have shared. Very good meal. This was our 1st time @tequilas. BUT, not our last. We will be back!

Stopped at this family owned restaurant while traveling, GREAT SPOT, delicious hot food, good size portions. Service was a bit disappointing, younger waiter not on top of service, drinks not kept filled, HOWEVER, the food quality made up for this shortcoming. I would recommend this location for travelers as it is right next to Holiday Inn Express and fuel station.

Best Mexican place we have found since moving to Colorado 5 years ago! Great food, service and atmosphere. Chips, queso and salsa were delicious and delivered quickly. I asked if they could make cameranos al la crema (my favorite but not on the menu) and they were able, and boy was I glad they did! Hubby got the pollo con queso and it was absolutely juicy and fantastic as well! Already talking about making another trip to Trinidad just to swing back by this place!

Service was good. Fajita Texas was good but meat was a bit tough and bacon was hard. Flavor was good. Salsa was spicy and chips were nice.

Just passing through and was recommended to stop here for lunch by a local at the gas station. Wished I lived nearby because this place rises above the occasion.

Love the festive colors and decorations. Superb, quick, top notch service. Quick and pleasant. My cup never ran dry and the chips were on the table right after I sat down. The staff was on top of checking on us and the food came out fresh and hot.

Great flavors and mixture. The price point was very well for what we got and the quality of service. Next time I pass through, I will be making a stop here.

I found this hidden gem while traveling. With it being next to the fuel station and motel, it is a great convenience. Since I grew up eating Mexican food, it is hard for me to find decent restaurants. This one is exceptional. The Fajitas and Shrimp Cocktail are great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I stopped in Trinidad CO on a cross country drive and visited Tequila's because of the reviews. The experience dining there overall was excellent. The ambiance is colorful and cheerful; the staff are friendly and available. Unlike other restaurants I've visited in 2024, there did not appear to be a staff shortage. We never had to wait for service: our table was visited often to ensure my party of two had whatever we wanted. We arrived at 5:30 and were seated immediately. Chips and salsa was served as we sat down, which was appreciated. We ordered and the food arrived before the chips were gone, so pretty fast. I had the mango chicken salad and my companion had steak fajitas. The food was entirely fresh, so very tasty. How much a diner likes a particular Mexican dish is a function in part of the locale you're used to. I'm used to San Antonio Tex-Mex, and this was slightly different. However I appreciated the very fresh ingredients and the wonderful service. The bill was definitely reasonable. By 6, the place was crowded: the restaurant is clearly very popular.

Beautiful restaurant with super attentive staff!! Everyone was incredibly polite, SOOO fast, clean, and the portions were a LOT bigger than I expected!! Which made the prices 10000% reasonable, coming from a cheapskate (typically). I got the fajita burrito- portions were crazy (and delicious…). I’d definitely come back! Thank y’all so much!
