Flying W Ranch was the perfect place to host our beloved son's Celebration of Life. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning rustic charm and breathtaking views that added a sense of peace and beauty to the day. Even during a snowstorm, the space was warm and inviting, providing comfort to everyone in attendance.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely supportive throughout the entire event. Every detail was handled with care.

If you're looking for a venue that combines natural beauty, warmth, and exceptional service, Flying W Ranch is it. We are so grateful for the experience they provided and will always remember how they helped us honor our loved one in such a special way.

We have also been here for several dinner shows during the warmer months- a perfect place to take your out of town guests.

I have never seen anything like it. We came at 5pm to see the village and enjoy the view. They have a short train ride and farm animals can be seen and touched. They have many unique and old farm equipment.
There was a short show from a First Nation family and the main show after dinner was really great. The flying w wranglers sang very well.

Food was wonderful, enjoyable and hot. The weather was perfect the day we were there. No rain but was chilly.

Great experience! Employees were all very friendly and helpful. Lots of things to do on-site. Native American tribal dance show was good and interesting. The Flying W Wranglers were excellent. Great show and showmanship. Food was fair (they are feeding several hundred people in 25 minutes), so some allowances must be made. Overall, a great time was had by all.

Love the Flying W! We have brought family and friends a few times now. The food is pretty good and I appreciate the vegetarian option (pasta primavera). They have given me a transcript in the past but were unable to on the most recent visit, though they did sit our hard of hearing party at the front which was wonderful. Go early to explore the beautiful grounds, get a drink, and get seated! Both the summer and Christmas show are worth going to. We’ll be back yet again!

The flying W Ranch was a staple of my childhood, sadly it burned down a few years ago. I am happy to report that the new renovations have taken what was always a great time and taken them to a new level. The new venue is awesome! Great set up with wonderful western decor. The food is delicious. Make sure you go back for seconds before they close the line. Id recommend getting there right when they open as checking in early gets you a better table and there are a lot of fun activities on the ranch. They open at 5 and dinner starts at 6:30. There are more than an hour and half worth of things to see before dinner. We rode a horse drawn carriage and train, as well as saw numerous farm animals and did some axe throwing. The show after dinner is fun and the flying w wranglers are extremely talented musicians. Before dinner check out the Native American dancers and musicians as well with their amazing bead work.

We just saw the summer show with my family and cant wait for the christmas show. This is a fun and kid friendly environment that is welcoming and festive. There is plenty to do and this is a great way to enjoy the beauty of Colorado in a fun and delicious way.

We loved our time at the Flying W Ranch! We enjoyed exploring the ranch before our meal. The Native American dance was a bit odd and awkward. Even though they stated the dances were not spiritual the bird dance did appear to be spiritual. They also rambled several times between dances. The meal was great and I enjoyed getting to know the people across the table while eating. The main music was fantastic and I’m not a big country western fan, but this was pure talent! I loved how they sprinkled in some jokes on stage too, very entertaining!

Response to the business reply: 4 stars is a VERY fair review and a good review. I left many positive remarks in my review and provided feedback. 5 stars is for an outstanding experience and I rated my experience accordingly. Consider revisions to elevate the experience and not draw a focal point to the dancing/monologues. I originally left this out to not draw out another negative, but considering the reply…the dancers also requested money, please pay them accordingly. Being pushy in a reply to me by saying my review is unfair, is not okay. I rated my experience appropriately as the focal point of that part of the evening was the dancing. Had I been axe throwing during that segment it would have been considered rude. We had already completed the other activities. Please consider how you respond to customers as to not hurt your business. We do hope to one day to come back as we did enjoy our visit (as stated above in our fair review), but will skip the dancing.

After having friends tell us how great Flying W Ranch was for an evening out, we decided to book tickets, with them, for the last show of the season. Upon arrival we were directed to park, very basic simple dirt lot parking & it was very fluid. From here you made your way to the ticket counter, where you are provided with your tickets & table number.

The location is stunning. From the moment you step out of your vehicle you’re enveloped by a feeling of days past in an atmosphere that is unlike any other. We took the hour & a half prior to dinner & wandered throughout. The amount of activities & things to watch/do was extraordinary. We loved the spread out nature of the location, no matter where you were or what you were doing it was not a “packed” feeling, which was amazing.

The dinner announcement was funny & the tips on how to move through the chuckwagon line allowed for it again to be a very fluid, and speedy. We had patio, hightop seats just outside the indoor seating. There is heating that they turn on as it gets later. It did get a little warm for us, but is great if you like being outdoors, but need a little warmth to take the chill off.

Onto one of the biggest highlights, the food!!! I was excited for the entire meal, except the applesauce & spice cake. I typically don’t like either, however, I cleaned my plate. 😂 Every aspect of the meal was delicious. The baked potato was so creamy, that it was like mashed potatoes. The brisket, chicken & trail beans had the best flavor. The biscuits were exactly what I expected, the applesauce & spice cake were incredible. The show followed & did not disappoint. One of the best moments was when they introduced one of the original gentlemen who was part of the original group in 1953. Hearing him speak & sing was a delight.

We enjoyed every aspect of this entire experience!! From the ranch animals & Sweetwater Plains Dancers to axe throwing, food, & show, this was something I will recommend in the future to anyone who asks for a genuinely great, family friendly & fun experience. We’ll definitely be back!!! 🎉

This place is amazing. Great location with lots of activities to do before the dinner starts. Animals, archery, axe throwing, roping, and much more. The food was wonderful. They have everything so organized to get everyone their food and it worked great. The show was really great as well. The wranglers are very talented and made it a fun show for all ages. Traveled to this with my husband and two boys ages 9 and 12. We all enjoyed it. My son who is 12 is in wheelchair and it was all accessible and worked great. This is a must see when visiting Colorado Springs.
