This restaurant is attached to a hotel. You can get to the restaurant without going into the hotel. There is direct access to the restaurant towards the left side.

Our GPS took us right to the front door, but if you're not using GPS you may have a hard time finding it.

The food was excellent. I had the rack of lamb which was very fairly priced and was delicious. My girlfriend had the hamburger which was also good.

The service was also excellent. The staff was super friendly and very attentive.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's actually really beautiful inside and they have beautiful views. I posted a picture of the sun setting in one of the photos.

There's also a full bar. Plenty of seating and plenty of parking.

I feel like this eclectic restaurant is a hidden gem that not many travelers know about. It was an easy off the freeway and located in the Day's Inn Motel. We stopped for lunch, with no crowd. It had food for every appetite, steaks, burgers, Mexican, Indian, etc. My husband had the Sesame Chicken Wok. I had a bowl of Yellow Lentil Soup and Spring Rolls. Both were delicious. Though I do wish the bowl of soup had been bigger!!
The Staff were lovely and very helpful. Prices were very reasonable.

Lovely dining experience next to an unassuming hotel. You'll be surprised by the ambience, and the food quality is excellent. Service is also notable. Definitely recommended for upscale dining in Trinidad.

What a gem!!! We're traveling through and I looked up a place for lunch. Saw "Sunset Bar & Grill". Although pics show they serve burgers, we were tantalized by the Indian fare, so we got the buffet. Wow! They do not skimp on the buffet. The chicken was moist. Every dish had a distinct delicious flavor. And I even had the seafood bisque. Husband had some lamb and fish. Don't be fooled by the motel it is in. What an experience! Felt like a very nice restaurant. Seems like it is family run and everyone is delightful and courteous. Very pleasant atmosphere. It was a wonderful break on our travels.

While traveling I decided it was time to grab some dinner! I ended up in Trinidad Colorado and looked around for a place. I decided upon Sunset Bar and Grille. As I was pulling up to the restaurant I noticed it was attached to the Days Inn. I was skeptical since I haven’t had many good meals at such places, however, my opinion soon turned for the better once I was greeted by the restaurant staff. My waitress Maria was awesome! Very attentive with great service. Upon reviewing the menu I just had to try the Clay Oven chicken tacos! Maria told me that the chef was from India! The tacos were an interesting fusion of East Indian cuisine with Mexican cuisine! The flavor and spice level was very much to my enjoyment! The waitress also asked if I want dessert and when she named “Fig Ice cream” I just had to taste it! It was quite nice and refreshing! I’m very glad that this restaurant surprised me for the better! Highly recommend this delicious and tasty place!

My buddy and his wife took me and my wife here for dinner. He warned me, "Yeah, it's attached to a Day's Inn. I thought it was crazy to go to a restaurant there, too." We were seriously impressed with the place. The food was lovingly crafted and artfully presented. Our server was charming and helpful. We sat by the huge windows overlooking the valley and watched the rainclouds scud over the hills. The Clay Oven Tacos were terrific! Tandoori chicken in Naan "soft tacos" My wife's Chicken Curry was flavorful and generously portioned. My buddy had the rack of lamb, which was cooked perfectly and was tender and fresh-tasting, with no mutton gaminess. I occasionally go to Trinidad for work, (I'm a food safety consultant) and I look forward to trying some more of the impressive array of dishes on the menu.

Absolutely amazing dining experience, and such a hidden gem. The naan is incredible, we had two servings! We had the butter chicken and fusion curry and it was spicy and flavorful and so delicious! Chef Jose even came out to talk to us and check how everything was, and offered insight into the cuisine. We got the dessert platter to finish and loved every bite, especially the carrot pudding! We will come back again and again ❤️

This place really is a diamond in the rough. Not the nicest hotel but it’s clean and the restaurant is great and the people are so nice.
