Cute place downtown. Stopped in for a fire grilled burger and it was busy. Got a table and service pretty quickly. Remember this is not fast food so don't expect to be in and out in ten minutes, but it's worth the wait. Burger was fresh and the buns were great. Bite me burger had good flavor without too much heat. We were able to watch the hot job at the grill and everything is prepared fresh. Bacon was thick and crispy and the produce was all fresh. French fries and onion rings were both a win! A little on the pricey side of things but it's a tourist town and the food is good.

Service was horrible. We waited 2 hours for food. The waitress seemed a bit annoyed when we asked for drinks or service and we continued to flag her down for simple service. The other waitress dropped our food on the floor after we asked her to just set it on the table and we could sort out who got what a group of 4 then the one person who didn’t get his food went to the cook and asked him for his food then he finally put his burger on the grill. They have small tables outside in front so I went outside to drink a beer and smoke a cigarette and was told I wasn’t allowed to drink or smoke at the tables outside their restaurant. Bummer! When I used the restroom the sink was overflowing with water all over the ground. Had to stop the waitress to clean the mess up. The food was good but the Service was horrible! Worst waitress and waiting for food was also a bummer. We traveled from Texas to Montana and back to Texas so this a don’t stop by again for any future trips. No one wants to wait 2 hours for a burger and fries and horrible staff. Also told to go the back of restaurant to enjoy a beer in the alley of the restaurant when tables are sitting out front of the entrance to restaurant. So unless you have all day to sit and wait for food don’t mind flagging down a waitress for service. I would say go for it. But I would definitely pass on this restaurant. ..

Wonderful place to eat. Very kind and efficient staff even though very busy on a Holiday weekend!! Very impressed!!! My only “complaint” was our burgers were more like medium instead of medium Rare but I understand they were busy. The food was great pretty much what you’d expect from a bar and grill.

If you are in Westcliffe- this is the right choice! Country music - very friendly waitstaff & incredible food! I had the grilled chicken sandwich- extremely juicy- and my husband devoured the slopper (pile of fries, 1/2 grilled burger w onions, green chili with melted cheese). And don’t forget the peach cobbler!

Ate here the 4th of July after hiking and camping at Lakes of the clouds. It took almost 1.5 hours for the food to get served. We only ordered 2 burgers. We understand that it's a busy holiday but they could have easily told us how long that wait will be. Some people left because they got tired of waiting.

We thought the burgers were just okay, didn't think the wood fire grill made a difference in the taste.

Well, I may have found the best burger this side of the Mississippi! I just ordered their western burger and added brisket to it and let me tell you what! Holy cow was it amazing! So juicy and tender! Absolutely worth the drive! Can't recommend enough. The staff and owner are really nice and friendly. Go get one!

Chappy’s is our go to for a meal. Coming from a small town ranching community to another, We fit right in. Love that you can see them cooking your food on the wood stove. During our visit this trip. We ate here 3 times. The burgers, and steak and Phenomenal.
Today I had the Peach cobbler. Goodness it was very good. So glad that was all I had today, very delicious and fulfilling.
The staff are hardworking people and go above and beyond to keep you happy. See you again on the next trip. “Jersey “ is a neat lady.

Had a great experience here. I have lived just outside of town for a couple of years and have always wanted to try this place but the reviews were getting worse. I have since realized that the place is under new management. The food is wonderful. The place is clean. Sometimes they do get busy. Do yourself a favor and ask for a table. This is a small town and they don't exactly have extra staff on hand. So if they do get busy, maybe don't try to do a to go order. Little do you know, the owners are part of the staff serving you. This is no corporation, this is truly ma and pa ran restaurant.
