I highly recommend working with this company. My service representative, Nate Maybon, was was and continues to be essential in our purchase decisions. He was always quick to answer questions or solve problems even after we purchased and installed our Tyrol and Zenith series windows for our new build (steel framed home). Some questions and issues arose after an extended period after delivery, due to a slow build. For example, instead of allowing me to purchase two windows to go side by side, he recommended a single double window unit. He also helped by providing cost differences for sizing allowing us to make informed decisions. His help was extremely important since the windows would be coming from Colorado to Oklahoma. We purchased our windows ahead of our build; keeping them stored for over a year. They arrived in a box truck and aware thoroughly framed in wood with easy carry handles on the sides and wrapped in cellophane. We were able to unload and store them upright on pallets, covered until our build was ready for their installation.

The windows themselves have been fantastic. We can't hear anything from outside because they are so soundproof. We enjoy the tilt turn style and designed our spacing and interior to accommodate the inward open. We installed valances above the windows to allow for roller shades to be used, however, looking back I would have increased the interior window framing to allow for those shades' installation within the window box instead of above and outside of them. Again, in hindsight, for anybody building, I would have covered the whole interior of the window throughout the build to prevent the extensive cleaning of paint and mud (maybe we just had really messy contractors and an inattentive GC). I would also ensure that the GC allows for the proper interior clearances to allow the windows to open without scraping the sheetrock.

I would have liked to see continued maintenance care (clean the inside tracks clean and use a DRY silicone spray on any of the moving parts quarterly) and instructions on resetting the windows using their side latches provided with the purchase. It took us a long time to get a couple of the windows back on track/closed when somehow they were opened in both directions (tilted and turned simultaneously). We were only able to figure it out after finding some German videos on YouTube. We do have one or two windows where the mitered edges don't quite meet, but plan to you seal those up with silicone.

Even though I think the company could improve by developing similar help videos and linking them to their website and despite the mitered corner problem, I highly recommend this company and the specific windows for anybody looking for windows; their R values and quality are better than most windows and are priced very competitively.

I absolutely love my Alpen window! It is incredibly easy to open and close, which is a game changer with such a large window. The natural light brightens up my bathroom and taking a bath feels as if I am in an outdoor spa. It was great to find an awning window in such a large size. The high quality of the frame and sash is impressive, glossy, white and easy to clean. Even during cold evenings, the bathroom stays warm while I am in the tub. Alpen’s Tyler Board was exceptionally helpful in helping us choose the window and measuring for easy installation. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their home with function and style!

We have had a very positive experience working with Alpen on new windows and doors for our remodel project. Pete Beaupre was very helpful on the front end, helping us sort through the options and refine the details for our order. Adriana in service/warranty has been great in helping out with a couple of details after installation. We chose Alpen because energy-efficiency was a priority for our project and we knew of their long track record. We wanted windows that would help keep the house very comfortable and have little to no condensation in cold weather. And that's what we got! The fringe benefit we hadn't thought about is that the triple-pane windows, with tight air sealing, really cut down on exterior noise. We get a lot of wind here and aren't aware of it until we look out to see the branches whipping around. We're happy with our choices.

My customer service representative Nikole Woods was exceptionally helpful and responsive; she provided clear delivery dates, and every window ordered arrived on schedule. The quality of the windows is outstanding, featuring triple-pane glass that offers superb insulation and energy efficiency. Living in a high elevation and windy area of the mountains, I've noticed a significant reduction in wind noise and temperature fluctuations since installation. If you’d like to pay lots of money for bad quality then this is it.
We’ve been having issues with our windows since delivery and have been dealing with it for years.
After our original shipment we purchased was installed, we noticed faults in the windows. They had large air pockets between the panes that looked like large grease stains.
We were blamed for the faulty windows but after many back and forths, they agreed to replace the windows.
It took 5 separate shipments for them to get the three windows to us because they would always arrive completely shattered. Not wrapped in any sort of packaging. Just huge windows in a crate strapped down.
Shown below is a photo of a “new” window that was replaced. The replacements are even worse than the original faulty windows that were purchased.
These are supposed to be very energy efficient windows and as you can see with a little cold weather, there is ice on the INSIDE so there is no way they are providing any sort or energy efficiency.
This was the biggest purchase for our new home (80K) and when we purchased the reviews were amazing and we even went to visit the factory.
I hope to save another family the headache.

Update:
Alpen came through on their word and replaced the faulty windows. They look great. I don’t know what happened with all the bad shipments but in the end everything was fixed. They did well through the summer without any issues and will see about the winter as well.

As an Architect and passive house design, I'm always looking for the best options balancing thermal insulation and budget for our projects. Alpen has some of the best quality windows available AND they're an American company.
On top of that, the fantastic service and responsive team is something I can't find from any other product supplier.
