First off their staff was friendly. Secondly we were out and on the trail with our rental bikes within 5-10 minutes. Bikes were sturdy with plenty of gears. We did the entire Yampa River Core Trail and an extra half within 2 1/2 hours, so their 3 hour rental is just right. They have coupons too. Definitely recommend this bike shop.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. Super friendly, amazing customer service and a good variety of quality bikes to rent.

Came in from Florida with little time left in the day, gave them a call and within 30 minutes I was riding.

The customer service I received from Shawn was phenomenal, very friendly laid back guy who seemed really interested in helping you have a good time.

After the ride, while I was there warning back up, I was able to see him interact with other customers and the friendliness and service level was equally awesome to the other customers.

I highly recommend you visit this shop, whether you are renting or buying bikes, they have a great selection as well as a good stock of accessories and parts.

They have a ski shop co-located, and I bet that side is equally great for those that ski.

Wheels is a quirky little bike shop with a great local feel. Being new to mountain biking Wheels bike shop has been a big help with me learning a new sport and getting excited about the next ride. I've always found their mechanics and bike service to be the best with honest appraisals, quick turn around. They make my bike ride like new, every time.

Came into town from Kansas City and rented a sweet yeti 165 from Wheels Bike Shop. Called before I came into town (about a week in advanced) and was told they should have some bikes in stock for rentals (everyone is low on inventory because of supply issues from COVID). Hazen in the one who was there in the morning. Hooked me up with a bike, and told me what trails were best for the conditions. Came back down that way for lunch after riding spring creek and spring roll 👌🏼, and while I was sitting outside I got to meet Willie, one of the other shop owners. We had a solid conversation and he was very friendly. So cool to have the owners so into their craft. After riding emerald mountain that afternoon I was bringing the bike back to return and Hazen gave me some advice on buying a Yeti in the future and even let me hop on his personal bike to see how it felt. I will definitely be visiting the shop again whenever I’m in town. 10/10 would recommend for all your bike needs.

We came in from Texas and knew nothing about the biking scene here in Steamboat. These guys are awesome. They walked us through every step, and we had a SAFE ride in the park. Nobody broke any bones and their equipment is top notch.

We rented bikes today and we rode the entire length of the Yampa core Trail. It was about 14 or 15 Mi total and it was an absolutely beautiful day. The river was running high. the Sun was shining bright and wehad a wonderful time. They rented us excellent bikes, incredible customer service. I highly recommend this bike shop

People at the shop were informative— We’re not from Steamboat and wanted to know gravel biking trails since those are the bikes we traveled with. They provided us with a free trail guide and map of town and gave us suggestions. Great stop; thank you!
