My experience with a bike fit with Ray was phenomenal. I'm an avid, intermediate rider and went in to fit my road bike after riding for a few years, and experiencing soreness in my right hip, hamstring and neck after rides of 40-70 miles. Upon initial physical assessment, Ray immediately identified a difference in leg lengths which was impacting my riding position significantly. The Retul testing equipment confirmed his initial impression, and enabled him to address this with a cleat adjustment. The testing data also pointed out several other major issues which led us to adjust the seat position, handlebar position, and cleat tension. The net effect was: My entire bike experience transformed immediately. I felt noticeably more comfortable on the bike, and I can already feel the potential for more climbing power now. Ray took great care, and quite a bit of time to thoroughly assess and address the numerous issues which arose during the session. It was such a pleasure to spend the time with him, and I learned so much, that I plan to return with my mountain bike. Bottom line: If you are on the fence about whether this bike fit is "worth it:" this is no ordinary bike fit. It's a quality experience that will pay dividends for a lifetime of riding. Go get it.

I had been looking for some time for a professional level bike fit and, after seeing Alchemy’s article in the local paper, decided to give it a try. Wow was I impressed! I knew of a leg length discrepancy I had but I didn’t realize the impact it had on my pedaling motion and bike comfort. Ray (along with loads of gear) made several adjustments that get me far more efficient and comfortable on the saddle.

Even beyond the fitting, Ray is also an experienced PT professional, so he also identified where my pedaling motion was aggravating an old ankle injury and was able to help me improve my ankle mobility. The combo of assessing the bike fit and understanding weaknesses on the body was pretty amazing. I’m planning to return for some additional dry needling work on my calf and quad.

Really can’t say enough about Alchemy and am very psyched to have a professional bike fitter in our own backyard.
