Highly Recommend…This restaurant is AWESOME!! Super views of the mountain and ski slopes and close to the gondola. It’s right next to the ice skating rink and lawn to enjoy a drink or meal while you watch the kids play. The food is wonderful and the service is top notch. There is a section where you can order yourself and pickup at the counter, along with a section for sit down service with a waiter. Killer drinks on tap, big wine and mixed drink selection, and a fountain drink machine with tons of options. They salads and sandwiches, soups and pizzas, tacos and dessert… You’ll find it all at the range. Fair prices, tasty meals, and good times await. Aidan is truly the best and always takes amazing care of me and my crew. We are welcomed with friendly faces and big smiles by the staff and they seem truly happy to help. Indoor and outdoor seating and two levels leave plenty of room for the whole pack. Thanks Steamboat…we will be back.

Amazing location. Right at the base. After a good day of skiing just walk in to the food hall and order whatever you want. There are options for sandwiches, ramen, pizza, tacos. We ordered, right from our table which was convenient, Chili Tofu Ramen and Nashville hot chicken tacos, ice cream sandwich. Tasty food. Food is filling. I have only two qualms - 1. We ordered all times at the same time expecting the dessert will be brought to the table after main course. But they bring everything at the same time. So we got our dessert before our main course. 2. Spicy was not spicy at all and chicken kinda hard. It costed us $90 which was kinda expensive but we expect that from ski resort restaurants. That’s the only time they can make some money. All good with me.

First of all, let me say that the two levels of Range seem very different. The first level is "order yourself via a QR code." The second level is a traditional table service style. I was on the 2nd level.

With that said, I had a fantastic time. The selection of food and drink was excellent, and very tasty. There was live music, which was perfect. The views were excellent, as was the service.

The negative reviews here didn't match my experience at all. Reading them , though, I say would say - if you come here, go to the 2nd floor !

We dined on the second floor at The Range during our stay in Steamboat a few weeks ago. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the views of the mountain during the fireworks were amazing. Would definitely recommend it.

The Range was a great experience. Diana Millar was an absolute legend and her service was prompt. Food was good for price and view of the square is unmatched. View of fireworks tonight were 10/10!

Decent option for a quick bite on the mountain. I got the pesto chicken sandwich from the Why Not sandwich shop and was pleased with my meal. I did the to-go option so I can't speak for the service, but the facilities were clean and my food was ready in about 10 min. A bit overpriced for the food, but it's on par for other restaurants around the base area. As The Range works out their kinks, I'd recommend another similarly priced restaurant around the ski area for higher quality, such as The Paramount.

There is NO WAY this is a real restaurant, this has to be some sort of front. These were my $16 “Nashville Hot Chicken Tacos”. We ordered drinks and a water and received neither during the meal. I ate the meal without a drink. The waitress then told me they don’t have SOUR CREAM at this restaurant. A LINE COOK then randomly brought out a side of sour cream saying “he’s normally not this nice”. DO NOT GO HERE.

Amazing tacos. We ate upstairs, great view near the mountain, perfect service from Pat. We were wavering between sandwiches and tacos - Pat steered us to the tacos, which were less expensive than the sandwiches, and recommended we try the top 4. They were all different and tasty, not your normal taco, but we liked the pork and shrimp the best. Cocktails were inventive snd the beer list varied (clear ipa, s as must for some).

We arrived at 11:00 am on an early December day— they explained how the place worked and seated us immediately. It was getting crowded by the time we left at noon, and I can see it being really busy during the high season.
