We are simply thrilled with the custom work done by Colorado Mountain Craftsmen on the recent replacement of the stair rails, posts and balusters in our front entryway. Jack is a true professional craftsman and his expertise is evident in the impressive transformation of this very prominent space in our home. His attention to detail and the quality of the materials used is top notch; this was an extensive and complicated project and the results exceeded our expectations. We hired Jack to replace an old balcony rail for our stairs that go down to our lower rooms. The old rail was a ugly 1990s "maple" finish on some cheap white wood. It got scratched up from my mother-in-law's walker and was loose from her leaning over the rail. We needed to get it replaced completely.

A lot of people are going with metal balusters but we wanted to stick with a wood with a nice grain to match our nice furniture that we've picked up in different parts of the world while I was on active duty in the Air Force. We chose oak with a walnut finish.
Jack did an amazing job. He is very meticulous and detail oriented. When he does a job, he does it right! We are so happy to have an oak railing that matches our furniture and something you'd find in one of those million-dollar mansions.

Jack built us custom built in bookshelves surrounding our fireplace in our living room out of maple wood. They add such warmth and give the room a finished look. He surrounded the bookshelves with custom molding and each bookshelf is moveable. We can change the look whenever we want. The bookshelves get tons of compliments!
