As someone who just moved into town, my family and I wanted to find a church close by. We took a chance and came to this little gem and we’re all so very glad we did!

Every single person in the building took time to introduce themselves, asked my husband, son and I our names and genuinely made us feel welcome just by walking in the door.

I feel like we will be able to make many lifelong friends here and I know my 2 year old son is in good hands in their in house nursery.

Not to mention the live music! The choir is phenomenal the guitarist is very talented, and the pianist plays beautifully!

Service is at 10 am every Sunday! Lord knows we’ll be there!

Today I met the kindest people. I originally went to the church as a friend told me of a food pantry. A lovely gentleman answered my call (I was sitting in the parking lot feelingost and overwhelming) he told me about the B street food pantry and gave me directions.
I followed them and was greeted by the volunteers who answered my questions. In particular, the choir director, who answered my question about joining Bible studies, and Donna, who went through a shopping list with me and explained how everything works.
I am a recent widow (married 40 yrs) and it has been an emotional roller coaster deing with people who just do their job but without any actual feeling.
Today that changed. Donna even gave me a sack lunch which touched my heart in ways many will never understand.

On the drive home I encountered a homeless man who asked if I could give him money for somethi g to eat and drink.
I pulled the car over a d gave him 1/2 Of my sandwich, the chips, snack and water.
You have to me without question. This was the least I could do for someone also needing help.

Thank you seems inadequate. But I am grateful beyond words.
I will be joining you on Sunday for services.

It's the big little church next to World Arena.
I starting attending SHUMC because it has the “Cheer’s” of churches where everybody knows your name. Other places just made you see like you were a number. Another reason was I lived 3 minutes away, which was convenient. The Third reason is they have a fantastic music program. When I moved to the north end of town where this church is not 30 minut4es away, I still keep coming back. I’t a great church if you are looking for one to “try out”.

Iv never seen a pastor with such a good heart i called him for help and he didnt even ask me why and helped me out he truly is sent by god a true angel of god thank you pasture
