This is one of the most exeptional ski in/on properties we have ever stayed at. The rooms were immaculate and lovely; the boot room and ski valet were easy and pleasant. The restaurants were perfect. And, the hot tubs and pools were perfect after a day of skiing. Definitely our favorite ski trip ever and we can't wait to go back next season!

The location and staff at the Viceroy Snowmass were absolutely fantastic. The hotel is perfectly situated for easy access to the slopes, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable.

However, the in-room dining experience left much to be desired. With no delivery options outside of the hotel, you are stuck with in-room dining. Several menu options were unavailable, including pizza for kids, which was a major disappointment for our family. For a hotel of this caliber, we expected a more consistent dining experience, especially with such a limited menu.

While the overall stay was pleasant due to the excellent service and location, the in-room dining missed the mark and detracted from the experience.

Great location. Very convenient to ski to lift on side of hotel. Valet service (both for car and the ski valets) was terrific. But service was otherwise not very good for a hotel trying to be high end (and charging very high end prices). We stayed 4 nights and did not get our room cleaned once. We got turn-down, but no cleaning for 4 straight days. We called guest services, but apparently that didn't matter. Also, the.breakfast service was very hit and miss. We had good service twice and almost no service twice. Breakfast food was meh. It was a busy week, and they had some new people. But we paid high-end pricing, and this was not a high-end experience. We'll stay elsewhere next time we go to Snowmass.

My daughter and I just stayed at the Viceroy Snowmass during Thanksgiving week. We ended up being on the receiving end of an incredible upgraded 2 bedroom luxury suite from 11/26-11/29 (BIG shout out to Kathy). The kindness of the staff at this hotel made our trip for lack of a better word magical!
We will never forget staying at the Viceroy in Snowmass. From the ceiling-to-floor windows overlooking the winter wonderland below to enjoying coffee (from the fully stocked coffee bar) on our private balcony overlooking the breathtaking mountain views and the hospitality of the staff at the front desk. The generosity and hospitality we were given made us feel like royalty living at the top of the world in a snow globe. We will never forget our magnificent Thanksgiving week spent at Viceroy Snowmass.
If I could give 10 stars I certainly would. We will definitely be back. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

Avoid! Claim to be a 5 star hotel and with the price they charge it’s ridiculous and doesn’t even come close. Check in took forever, we finally got to our room and after waiting for a hour and no luggage I went downstairs to find our luggage still sitting with the bell man. So I took it up to my room myself. The rooms are small and dated. The tub doesn’t even hold water. The bar and restaurant automatically charge a 22% service fee on top of the overpriced menu. And good luck trying to call the front desk as it’s constantly busy. Definitely won’t be back. Sooooo many better options.

The Viceroy Snowmass lived up to our expectations and even exceeded some. The property itself is beautiful but it's the people who make the difference here. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly and eager to assist with our every need and want.

We stayed in a Pinnacle One Bedroom unit and it was very spacious and well-appointed. The only disappointment was that our unit did not have the deep soaking tub that's shown in the photos on the website. We didn't notice it until we'd already started unpacking, so we didn't bother addressing it with the front desk. It was only after we returned home that I noticed the website specifies the tub is "upon request", so if we return to the Viceroy Snowmass in the future I will make sure we make the request.

Other than that very minor misunderstanding (on our part, of course), our stay was near flawless. My only other request would be to consider keeping the bar open a little later than 10pm for those returning from dinner who may want to indulge in a couple late night beverages.

The Viceroy Snowmass should be at the top of your list if traveling to the Aspen/Snowmass area.

Wow what a disappointment. Came here thinking luxury at its finest spending $1500 a night for a small regular room. What a joke. Service , room, amenities all very average at best. Bar and restaurant charge 22% service fee on top of overpriced items. Shuttle costs $150 to go 30 mins one way. Very crowded. Vail and so many other places are so much better.

Terrible Experience - Avoid This Hotel!

If you want to ruin your vacation, book the Viceroy Snowmass. The service is appallingly slow and disorganized, and the cleanliness is shocking. We found blood on the sheets, and despite immediately reporting it, the staff took 1 hour and 13 minutes to replace them. Imagine complaining about something so serious, and they don’t even prioritize fixing it quickly!

It gets worse. There was no cold water in the shower, which we only realized after stepping in. Adding to the frustration, the shower controls were mislabeled—C for hot and H for cold. This mishap, combined with waiting for staff to fix it, completely ruined our New Year’s evening after a long trip.

On top of all this, basic services were abysmal. They don’t stock bottled water in the rooms, forget essentials like robes, and leave you waiting hours for a simple soda. They sell overpriced lift tickets at $250 (standard price is $50), and when you follow their directions, you’re denied access because you don’t have skis. The incompetence is astounding.

The only positive aspect of our stay was the concierge, who went above and beyond to help us. Unfortunately, their efforts were overshadowed by the countless problems with the hotel.

For a so-called 5-star hotel, the experience was beyond terrible. Poor service, lack of cleanliness, and constant issues made this stay unbearable. I will never return. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else!
