Kinikins is a clean processing plant but it is extremely disappointing when you ask for soup bones from our steer (which BTW is a live animal) and you get what is in the picture so much meat wasted- we got over 20 packs of these. Imagine the amount of usable hamburger that could have come off of these. Also from the sounds of it in other reviews and from talking to family you don’t give back all the meat taken there. Im not surprised when you can see them cutting the meat and keeping some for themselves and putting it in the cases to sell. Not sure what kind of operation is going on but sounds like many people won’t be back. We are local and have used them for years and it’s very disappointing to not be able to get the same services as years before.

YOU' RE BETTER OFF PROCESSING IT YOURSELF. DID NOT GET WHAT ORDERED! Just a bad job processing! We won't be back, not all of my processing was given back to me, even though during the paperwork I was very specific on getting the bones back for making dog food. I even brought in hearts and livers for processing for dogs specifically. Then they package so fast 15 of my packages blew out while freezing. I called to have them make things right and let's just say the representative made me feel like I was a piece of shit for asking for a whole processed elk during hunting season. I understand your busy, but it should have been explained to me better, but again hurry up and get out of my office so the next person can come in. Pictures for proof. Gave you a 250 animal and got back 2 lbs of bones.

Best sandwiches in town. Always enough for 2 meals. Very friendly service.
This is a full service butchers shop with all cuts of beef, chicken, pork and even fish.
They also sell locally crafted jams, jellies and sauces-all perfect with the meats they sell.

So excited to purchase a roast for my birthday party. Ordered over a week ago over the phone. ( I used to work here and know the quality of the meat). Arrived at the shop to pick up on date scheduled 12/13. Guy behind the counter said much has changed since you worked here and we don't work that way now. I told him I placed an order weeks ago and had it cut to size. He said there is no order and we only have 2-3 pound roasts. Was told Wendy would be in soon to speak to after I asked for more help as my order should be there. Shared that he is trying to help me. Honestly help would be having my order. He called Wendy and offered me small roasts for 15% off. Unfortunately, the biggest one was 3.3 lbs and I am feeding 12 people.
What places are ok with just not following through and having your order?
Maybe you'll get what you ordered maybe you won't. Today I didn't. Not a good business model.

Very disappointed in the new lunch menu! LOVED the old menu as it was just getting popular and starting to catch on. The old menu offered amazing sandwiches which were unique to only Kinikin Processing like no one else in town! Now it's the same ol Tacos and BBQ....like so many other places. To Bad!

While initially I had positive experiences with Kinikin, especially in meat taste and quality, I’m sad to say my perspective has changed. We moved to Montrose within the last few years, and recommended Kinikin to our parents after tasting the meat. My mother-in-law tried ordering online, and had issues due to lack of stock but no info indicating such on the website. She called and placed the order, and instead was overcharged and given a different package than what she asked for after waiting a few days longer than quoted.
We tried to redeem our opinion of that one instance by getting sandwiches frequently since we work from home. We now have 4 separate instances where our ordered were not fulfilled properly or cancelled, causing us to spend unnecessary time to rectify (which is not ideal during a work day). After reading the reviews, I have lost faith in Kinikin. I wanted to bring this issue to them, but I am not confident that Kinikin is interested in solving customer issues, based on either generic responses to issues or no response altogether. I would gladly change my opinion and review if someone from the company is interested in looking into ordering issues.

Not recommended for wild game processing! Did not get back all the meat! This was my 1st elk, we worked so hard on public land to get food for our family, and Kinikin lied about processing, on what we got back vs what we ordered. Im heart broken and we will never recommend this place ever to any hunter wanting processing!

We stopped to get provisions for our stay. Beautiful ribeyes and an awesome selection of local smoked sausage and jerky for charcuterie boards. A great selection of local bacon.

Must try the sandwiches. Generous portions and very tasty. The club toasted was out of this world - excellent bacon, grilled onions and all the meats😍
