Have tried to contact Timberline several times to ask about missed pick ups but they don't return calls or emails. Talking Trash was our last provider and their costomer service was first rate.

Normally, I'm not one to write a negative review. Life happens and you move on, but for this company I've had no choice but to make an exception. Sorry, for the length.

I have been with them for 5+ years and for the first 2 and a half years, almost 3, I had great service. Amazing customer service and their guys were super friendly. No issues! Then I moved from in town to the outskirts aka Chicago Creek. Everything changed.

You can barely get them to answer their phone and when they do their customer service is terrible. (You literally just have to keep calling because they don't respond to voice-mail. The first week at the new address, they "accidently" picked up my greehouse, (which was in bags and wasn't anywhere even near the trash cans). I tried to be understanding but they didn't care and basically said I needed to be more careful. They didn't even offer to pay for it and when I brought it up they were like no, despite their cameras clearly showing that their guy was at fault. (Something that they admitted to.) Then they double charged me for 3 months of service and literally said nothing about it. When I saw the extra change on my bank statement and called, they admitted their mistake and explained that they had been "dealing with it " but no one had even attempted to contact me. As if that wasn't bad enough, I started noticing that their prices would just increase. No warning, no explanation or anything. When you call about it, they blow you off. On top of that, they started to not make pick ups. I have both trash and recycling services, they would pick up one and not the other. When I finally got through to someone, they told me that they were in the process of changing their recycling policies and wouldn't pick it up but twice a month anymore. Then, they started combining my trash and recycling on pickups. I called about it and the Lady called me a liar (among other things) and was horrendously rude and basically verbally attacked me. Spoke to a supervisor who assured me that I was mistaken, they would never put recycling with the trash. After that whenever it happened (usually every other pick up) I would take a photo and call back. (This went on for a year+.) After that I was asked if I "just wanted to cancel recycling." I had hoped it would get better but it didn't. (I started looking for a different trash company but options were lean.) As if my wanting them to keep my trash and recycling seperated were too much, they started picking up one or the other again. After 3 months of this I called back and they acted like I was the problem: I just wanted the services I was literally paying for. At this point I was basically paying $75 a month for them to pick up my recycling once a month. Not even remotely what I had agreed to. I asked them to come and pick up my overflowing recycling after they missed yet another pick up and they said they would call me back. The next day I got a call and they said that they were no longer going to service my area.

I literally have no idea how they stay in business other than the fact that are basically the best option for my area if you want both trash and recycling, which is horrendously frustrating and honestly sad.

Inconsistent service & poor billing practices. Ive had Timberline for trash & recycling removal for almost 4 years now. Ive never had a rate increase during that time, which is odd, but all of a sudden my bill went from $105 per quarter to more than $300 per quarter. I absolutely understand rate increases but a rate increase like that is absurd. Ive been trying for days to get a hold of them to cancel my service but I haven't been able to reach anyone. I leave messages and no one calls back. I am beyond frustrated with this company & couldn't recommend that frustration to anyone.

Update 8/5 - We've finally had enough with this companies inability to provide the services we paid for. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I was lied to by a customer service rep. I was told to leave my trash out because the truck was coming but it never showed up. So done with them.

I just left a message to see about a late check - payment due to me since i canceled service a couple months ago. I got a call back from a new person - Mary? She was very apologetic but up-beat. It makes me think Timberline might get their act together after all! I wish them the best.

We have been using Timberline at our business for many years. They went through a few "changes" a while ago and had some issues. Even during that time they were responsive when we had any problems. These days... NO ISSUES! Their staff is pleasant, responsive and always willing to go the extra mile to help. Heck, Omar their driver beeps at me when he sees me driving around town. Whenever he is emptying our dumpster, we walk out to say hey! There are not many companies that have that kind of customer service these days. We do at Silverthorne Power Sports, so we notice when other businesses have it and we do our best to tell others about them. If you are opening a business or are thinking about making a switch to Timberline, do it! And feel free to call me if this little BLURB doesn't convince you to make the move... Thanks Pete and Omar at Timberline!

Our driver is the best. Took the time to show my kids the truck and how it works and the kids couldn’t stop talking about it!

They decided to stop recycling service without telling me. Then when I called because of my overflowing bin, they claimed I didn't have recycling service. When I told them I've had it for 4 years, they said I was getting it for free and they refused to rectify it. What really happened is when they did their merger or acquisition or whatever they probably got their systems messed up. Obviously I canceled and switched to Waste Management.

Response to Owner (it doesn't let me respond below his response, so I edited my post): I commend you for making the attempt to improve your customer service. 5 months ago, prior to posting this review, I did call your sales manager. I believe he or she had a name that started with a D. It's been a long time, so I don't recall if I ended up talking to them or not, but the final answer from your team was unequivocal. I told them clearly to cancel my service and pick up the bins, which they arranged. Didn't seem to bother them that I was leaving. I have to say that the service from Waste Management has been fabulous and friendly, so I am going to stay with them. I hope this new habit of responsiveness is helpful for the rest of your customers.
