Bought a half a cow from the Sadler ranch out of Casper, first time with this outfit, and they used western heritage to process, also a first. Was told my half weighed exactly 300# hanging weight, which I found strange. Sadler family picked up beef and brought it to town, without doing inventory. All of the brats, jerky etc were missing. When I opened the boxes and saw the sizes of the tritip, the steaks (less than half a pound) prime, and brisket (2 poundsish) I could clearly see that this half was not 300 pound hanging weight (1000# live weight calf). This facility bills by the pound, as does the ranch, so by fabricating heavier numbers, both the meat processor and ranch make more money for services and product they didn’t actually provide. Cons, do not use these crooks. I’ve also added a photo of a steak from a 311# hanging weight half beef I bought for reference.

Have used WHMC for both beef and pork. Love the ease of the cut sheets and their bacon is top notch. They've volunteered their personal time to talk about carcass quality to our 4H kids and happily showed off their facility when I expressed interest. Overall, really great folks, high quality processing and a solid business to have in Sheridan County.

We have used them for beef butchering in the past, and they do an amazing job. This time around we decided to get jerky made. I have a lot of food allergies and can’t eat most jerky or beef sticks. They worked with me and made a special marinade from seasonings I can eat so that we could get jerky that is safe for our family. I can’t recommend them enough. Kind and courteous service and amazing quality meat.

We just had two of our steers processed at WHMC for our own consumption. From drop off to pick up, we are very satisfied. They were very professional, and answered all my tedious questions with a smile. They showed respect for the time and care we put into finishing these beef, evidenced by the final product. Final product and packaging was excellent. I certainly recommend them.

It has been such a pleasure working with the WHM Co! Everyone on the staff is friendly, professional, and very helpful. I had the opportunity to tour the facility and observe the whole process before sending cattle there. They treat their animals with respect and dignity, their facility is clean, and they do a great job of processing. I also used their pack out room to pack my customer orders of beef, which was a tremendous help to my business. Went in the morning of 04Jan24, looking for beef bones. The man up front was nothing but kind and polite, pointed me the right way, and right now I'm making a Pho broth with the bones. It's out of this world, their quality is amazing. I'll be buying my beef from this place instead of the grocery store from now on.
