We are a family of five and were passing through Montrose, Colorado on July 29, 2024, and needed a place to stay. After looking at reviews of local hotels in this town, we decided to give this place a try, and we are glad we did! My wife, our three kids, and I really enjoyed our stay. This place is beautiful. The restroom and shower are a short walk away; however, they provide portable toilets on the opposite side of the campground. The nice, flowing Uncompahgre River is located in the back with a few benches. Keep in mind this place manufactures the yurts, tipis, and tents on location, and they even offer tours of their manufacturing facility with paved parking right outside. Amy is the best; she is friendly and provides outstanding customer service! We would highly recommend this place.

It's been an absolute pleasure working with the team at secret creek! When we were in the preliminary planning stage, they were a pivotal support with helping us to navigate the entire process. Prior to making our decision to purchase, they received us with open arms at their main facility, gave an impressive tour, and welcomed us to stay for a few days and experience the yurts first hand. I highly recommend working with this phenomenal team as they will always go the extra mile. They exhibited patience, determination, and professionalism with us throughout the entire process. As a public school administrator, we rarely receive this type of support and cannot express my gratitude enough to the team at secret creek, specifically Megan and John, thank you from the bottom of my heart! We purchased a 16 foot yurt kit to be used as an extra bedroom/studio here at our home in southwest Colorado. The kit came with everything we needed to build it from the ground up including the octagon base and structural insulated platform (SIP) floor. Everything was well packaged and labeled clearly and of very high quality. My wife and I put up the entire base structure and yurt ourselves with just a little help from neighbors with the heavy stuff. We are really happy with the final product and looking forward to spending lots of time in our yurt in the coming months. Thanks again for offering such a great product and excellent customer service!

We purchased a canvas tent from Colorado Yurts for our small, private campground in the Maine woods. I was impressed by how well it was engineered and how rugged the construction was. Our campers love the space this tent provides! Would highly recommend this product!

I am so very pleased with my personal experience with the Colorado Yurt Company. As soon as I called their 1 800 number I was excited to speak with Amy, their receptionist, who may I add, is very knowledgeable and kind to speak with. I was directed to Stephan Cadwallader who promptly got me set up with the perfect tipi for my families needs. I loved their prompt and personal responses and the ease of working with them. Stephan was very engaged, informative and fun to work with. We had quite a few conversations over the phone as we received two poles that were damaged on shipment and Colorado Yurt Company promptly responded, apologize and shipped the replacement poles free of charge. We LOVE being in the tipi and it has been fabulous for friends and family to stay in when they come to visit. I also give massage from the tipi to clients and they adore their experience. It is a magical place and we are so happy to have it on our land. Thank you Colorado Yurt Company for our amazing experience working with your talented team.

I had a several day stay in Montrose to explore the area, I luckily found this little gem. Really nice place to stay in unique accomodations. They apparently manufacture these tents, yurts, and tipis. I "camped" (glamped) in a large canvas frame tent. I left wanting the of the smaller units for my back yard.

I have a 16' Colorado Yurt that I use as my full time year round office. It was very affordable and I was able to construct it with my wife assisting me. The yurt lives at 7500' in SWCO and we get a lot of snow. Its always shed the snow very quickly and I can get it up to over 90 degrees any time of year with my Dwarf 5kw wood stove. I contacted the folks at CYC several times and they have always been very helpful, even helped me match my cabinet stain to the brand and color they use for the structure. It has been a very great investment.
