Met with Spence and Josh the night before our climb to discuss options. It was a great meeting and we decided to to Dexters Slab. We had a great day, both guides are very solid. They Explained everything well and made our climb a wonderful and memorable experience. I would recommend this guide service to anyone wanting to go to the backcountry. Cheers!

From the very beginning the crew at peak went above and beyond. We had a last minute booking and needed to change dates due to a canceled flight. No questions asked, Jared took care of everything and made sure we were set up. He scheduled us with Spence and we couldnโ€™t have lucked out more.

Spence was incredible! He took us to the back country away from the chaos of the park. We found some fresh ice tucked into a little cut with no one around, it was amazing!! I had climbed before, but my partner hadnโ€™t. No stress at all, he made sure we both had an absolute blast!

Canโ€™t say enough about Spence. He made sure we had all the equipment we were missing, was incredibly positive, experienced, courteous... the guy is a rockstar! He even went out of his way and found us in town after we left for the day when he realized we left a hat behind.

Highly recommend peak... and especially SPENCE!!

We had an amazing experience with Peak Mountain Guides. Matt was prompt with communication. Our guide, Marc, was well prepared and also did a great job checking in with us the day before so everything would go as smooth as possible. We had an outstanding day climbing in Eureka Canyon and can't wait to return. We will definitely look to Peak Mountain Guides in the future.

Every Review being 5 stars is all you need to know. Lance was our guide on the 3 day back-country ice trip. We got the sense that the climbs he took us to were places that he just thought would be awesome days and where he would take his friends, rather than a preset itinerary! Very open to working with whatever your needs are (gear, we did 2 days then day off for recovery then day 3, etc.) and personalized to your skill/comfort.

Lance went above and beyond for our wedding excursion into the mountains. Lance did more than just guide, he helped to setup photos, helped with snowmobile rentals, and made sure we had fun on our special day. We will definitely be back for another adventure with Lance.

Took an intro class into ice climbing this winter, might have been a mistake because now I'm spending money to get further into the sport. I had a blast in the class and enjoyed each minute of it. Lance and Joe did a great job teaching the basics in two days but more importantly, teach it isn't all about being rigid. They can teach you not just to ice climb but also how fun it can be. Will be back for more classes soon.

If you are a skier or snowboarder I would totally recommend using Peak Mountain Guides to help you navigate the backcountry.

Our guide was Matt, the owner. He donated a guided tour for two to a charity auction and I was the winner. The experience was very personal as he got to know us and our skills before educating us on the area, avalanche possiblity, and techniques.

His explanations of what to look at regarding the snowpack were very helpful and gave us a base knowledge if we want to do this again (which we likely will). His snow probe showed us that the base was over 7 feet deep!

The particular area that Matt took us to was about a 2000 foot ascent which took 3-4 hours. It was great exercise and he took time to answer questions throughout. The best part, of course, was going downhill through the fresh powder that was just a day old.
