We had some bad experiences with the Monument location(now Site One). The clerks behind the counter didn't seem to know the products and pricing. Overall bad attitudes and an unwillingness to be helpful. Went to a place off Marksheffel and Constitution and very happy with the service. When you’re spending over $20k worth of stone and dirt, they could do better.

I recently placed a delivery order to have a huge piece of siloam stone put in place as a bridge over a dry rock creek on my property. I was pleased beyond words with the final placement. I was also very happy with all the time and safety precautions that the equipment operator took to get it right. Thanks to Al and Christine from Pioneer in Monument, CO for helping me get this huge task finished!

What a wonderful and friendly staff! The two women up front couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Same with the gentleman.
When I drove into the yard to select (2) small boulders, a young man in a tractor stopped and asked if I needed help. I said no thanks, but he assessed what I was looking at, and ended up picking up (2) 140 lb rocks by himself and loaded it into my vehicle! Only to be young again!….I highly recommended this Monument location. Their yard was clean, and well organized. Kudos to management for the staff they have!

Update: they refunded half of the gravel amount.

Gravel was at least 30-40% fill. Will be getting our next order elsewhere to cover up this mud pit. Thankfully we only got a small load and it’s in the side yard.

Beware! If you don’t buy cleaned rock, you’ll get rock with 10-20% dirt and gravel. See photo. I ended up having to sift all of my rock from these guys. Lots of work. Two of my neighbors bought from them and had the same issue. Once it’s dropped, it’s your problem. They won’t refund or haul it away.

Terrible. I'm sorry that my husband spent his hard earned money here.

The front desk man was rude to him on two separate occasions. For some reason he just didn't seem to want to help us.

We wanted 2 different kinds of rock delivered and didn't have a problem paying for it.

1. The front desk man insisted we rent our own truck to get the rock delivered.

2. The front desk man was condescending to my husband when answering my husband's questions. My husband is not the rock expert.

3. My husband returned on his own after I refused to be subjected to this rude front desk man's behavior. I insisted we order from elsewhere.
My husband just wanted to order some rocks and get the job done so, he went back to deal with this same front desk man who gave him a hard time, again.

4. The front desk man gave my husband a verbal price without a receipt quoting a different price than what was charged. The additional cost must have been for the extra dirt and pebbles he threw into one of the deliveries.

Lesson learned, we will not be coming back to Pionner Landscaping for a purchase. I have a good mind to bring your dirt and pebbles back to you for a refund. Don't come here unless you like pay to be punished.

Think twice before going to Pioneer, they will flip you the cost for their mistakes!

I picked up three loads of Topsoil-B and found out their young loader operator gave me Fill Dirt instead. When I discovered the mix-up, they would only refund me the difference between the Fill Dirt and the Topsoil.

Since I had already offloaded the Fill Dirt, they refused to refund the amount and said it was my fault for not realizing their Operator gave me the wrong dirt! Even if I had caught their mistake before leaving their yard, I highly doubt they would have gone out there with their shovels to unload my pickup.

I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with Pioneer and they have completely lost my business over $30!

This is a great example of how not to run a business! From now on I will use C&C Sand and Stone.

I'll give pioneer 4 stars as a store, but they have an employee at the monument store that deserves all 5! Total Rockstar!
I went there with different crews for my company numerous times today (every couple of hours), and every time I was there, Christina (I think?) was there, by herself with a smile, doing it all! Very pleasant and knowledgeable to boot. I was very impressed how she handled herself being so low staffed. Usually, there's 2-3 working there. Thank you Pioneer!
