Stan is a great butcher. The meat is cleaned up well and not a bunch of fat. Packaging is wonderful. I can’t wait until he gets everything up and running at the new place on Taft Hill.

Friendly and prompt service. While I took them meat at a slow time of year, I was still impressed that it was ready in a couple days. My unusual requests were readily accommodated, and the price was even better than expected. We'll be back next time!

Stan's may have been good at one time but, I took a deer in on December 7th, was told it would be ready in about 18 days. Two months later it was ready and the charge was double what other places are charging for processing. Don't fall for this place. No one knows what is going on and you can't get any info if you call or email.

Brought My first deer to Stan to have it processed. I took him a Medium sized Doe quartered out and clean. His guess for me was around 50 pounds of meat. So I ordered 30 lbs of Sausage and 10 lbs of jerky and the rest ground. He told me 2 or 3 weeks. After 3 weeks I called him and he said one more week. After one more I called him and he said I was next up. I waited a total of 6 weeks. When I picked it up I had 22 pounds of sausage and a couple packages of jerky and I paid $400 for it. Too expensive for a long turnaround and a low yield. Won't be coming back with my next deer

I don't usually write reviews but my experience with Stans was so bad I felt obligated. After leaving me a message saying that he would probably be able to take my meat the next day, Stan ignored my phone calls and voicemails I left to set up an appointment to drop the meat off (which he requires). If you're planning on using Stans, I would highly recommend having a backup plan, in case he decides to ignore you.

Packaging was nice and people were nice. Other than that they were too expensive. Just had burger and steaks, no specialty meats done (sausage, summer sausage, or jerky) ended up costing about $5 dollars a pound. Not sure why it was so much, even had the antelope skinned.
