2024- nothing changed!!! They received my taxes 4/8/24 and they lost some papers as on 6/30/24 they sent me a letter saying I do not qualify for credit. Sent everything back to them on 7/05/24. Still no response even though they have 30 days to respond. I called at least 30 times starting in May just to hear the same response: “ no one is available, call back later” and then hanging up on me. It’s true that they did not mentioned that “later” means “Christmas “!!!!

Never received state return even though I requested direct deposit. I tried checking online for months for it and the website said it was sent by mail. I never received my check but after another few months of calling with no answer or being able to leave a message, I was finally able to take a day off due to their terrible hours. It took an hour and a half waiting in line in able to be seen. The attendant informed me they received my check returned in the mail (even though the website still says to keep checking the mail) and the best they could do is reissue the check to my address. I have little hope that it will arrive again. Your tax dollars at waste from government incompetency.

The first time I got a little confused. Since the DMV is right next to it, make sure you enter the door B. By the way the person who helped us was so kind and helpful .

Does the person who thinks that mailing refund checks is safer than 128-bit encryption work here? Because nothing is harder to get into than the fort Knox that is an unlocked mailbox.. and it's so safe that you all verified the address before you mailed it out, correct? Oh right? No no, that's not what occurred. So now I get to track down my so-called safe check that was mailed to nowhere instead of deposited in my encrypted bank account. Thanks a lot y'all Job well done.

We asked for direct deposit but they sent out check out by mail. After 30 days of not receiving it we started trying to get in contact with them to figure out where the check was and got no response on the phone, email, or revenue online. Our last resort was to go in person and hope for the best.

As we drove to the office, our hopes were low after reading reviews and fully expected a negative experience. We were ready to wait a couple hours in line, deal with bad customer service and possible have no one help us.

As soon as we got there, We were met with friendly employees, great customer service and only had to wait in line for a couple of minutes. Craig was the employee that helped us with our situation and he was nothing but friendly and positive. He had us in and out in a couple of minutes and completely resolved the issue for us. My husband and I got great care and support and are extremely glad everything went the way it did.
Best time to go is between 8am-10am, I highly recommend!

After 29 days of trying to get in contact via phone and email with the Dept of Revenue, I took a day off of work to come in person to figure out what the status of my tax return was, that I needed a month ago to pay rent. I did all of the preliminary work, called my bank to confirm there is no pending transaction, checked my tax return to make sure the deposit information and my address was correct, called multiple times a day for 10 business days straight where I was hung up on by the phone service while waiting over an hour on hold and every other time I was hung up because of the phone service being at full capacity, tried to schedule a call-back online where the entire service is full and does not allow me to schedule any form of appointment, and checked my mail every day plus a week after the last estimated day a physical check would arrive.

I came in person to figure out if the deposit was converted to check, and if the check was lost in the mail.

I did not show any frustration with my situation when speaking with the woman at the desk. The woman had short curly hair, and was on the heavier side, and looked to be middle eastern or Hispanic maybe (just a description for which employee it was, her weight or ethnicity has no impact on the situation)

I have her my information, and explained I was trying to figure out where my return is. She started asking me basic questions like if I checked the revenue online website (which I did many times and I confirmed that the website said my check was sent almost a month ago), so I told her yes I have done that, and I have also checked every other possible facet and option to figure out where my refund is. Before I could even speak for 10 seconds, she cut me off and dismissed me.

She told me "we sent it" and stared at me like I was stupid for even asking. I told her I understand but I haven't received it and if that's the case it's lost in the postal system. She just replied saying come back next week and then I can help you. I said okay, and asked (in a non-Karen way) if there was any documentation I could have that would confirm I came in and had this conversation. She said nope. I almost started crying because she was being so dismissive of a large chunk of money that I earned and needed. She then said "I'll make a note on your profile that you were here" and I said "thank you so much I would really appreciate that if you made a note". She then stared at me blankly without typing or writing anything down. I said are you going to make the note? And she said "yep" and continued to stare blankly without saying anything.

For someone who is working with people day to day, regarding money and taxes, this woman has absolutely zero skills in communication. I came in being extra conscious of holding in my personal frustration because I understand that people working in jobs like that deal with a lot of people who are not understanding or friendly, and they are simply doing their jobs and are not in control of the entire system.

As a taxpayer, I am disgusted that my taxes are paying the salary of an employee like her who is void of any empathy and takes out her frustrations of her job on citizens who are coming in to receive resources and figure out where their money is.

Hopefully she gets a different job, she would be an amazing professional c*** since that seems to be what she thinks her job title is anyways.

The online resource says my refund has not even begun the process so I called the phone number. It went to a menu driven service and I followed all the instructions to be told they were busy and not taking calls. So went to book a call, web page said all appointments were taken. Not sure what to do next.

13 days later - still no response to my email. Email was sent on 5/5/24; today is 5/13/24. Why bother having an online message center if no one bothers to read the messages, let alone respond. Phone is useless also. The automated phone message tells you they are too busy (obviously not reading emails) and hangs up. Your tax dollars at work.
