They were the rudest company I have ever dealt with. They have promised me a call-back for four months to put new railing in my home and I have called them every month to ask them why they had not called me back and they assured me they would. Finally, today, I talked with a man who said we only do expensive jobs and he did not know why they said they would do a railing. I asked him why they did not tell me that in the first place and he hung up on me.

Spent 2500 on developing a design with a wonderful architectural firm, TKP Architects. McSwain helped design the metal aspect for floating stairs and metal railing staircase. I verbally told McSwain it was a go...NEVER did they say 10 wk lead time and that didn’t start until deposit. I was never told that info and it was not in the contract. Then I get an email from Randy saying too much time was spent on this project and they were not interested in doing it any longer. Really? Bad business work ethic=no business ethics. I have called Ed McSwain several times to find out why they dropped the project....no return call...I will call daily until I get a answer. Probably a big commercial bid so they don’t want to bother with my project. Buyer beware! Hmmmm....notice a trend with the reviews?

I’ve read some negative reviews about these guys and I can only say that McSwain was HEROIC in what they did for us. Three days before closing the inspector called a ridiculous technical foul on the bannister not being half an inch wider in each side (they’ve approved at least 8 other homes in our neighborhood with the same configuration. McSwain pulled the custom 3-story cabled system and 3 days later stayed from 7am to 11pm getting them perfect so we could get our C/O. McSwain killed it!! Incredible dedication and craftsmanship.

I thought Ed was a perfect gentleman gave us a great estimate did great work his guys were wonderful you'll never find the quality of work these guys do we would recommend them to anybody
