My grandparents have called one week in advance for getting their tank refilled. This is the amount of time that was told to them so it would allow them to be refilled before the tank got to low. It’s day 10 and still no service and the excuse is ( short a driver). Now they have no heat during this cold spell. The lady who answers the phone is hateful and no help. Had to call the Anderson in Knoxville for any cooperation. I better not hear one word about getting charged for going below the recommender level. Hire more people or tell customers in advance to call further ahead of time if you are short staffed.

We stopped here to get propane after visiting Aux Arc Park. We had barely parked when someone came out to immediately help us. He was extremely friendly and did the propane so fast I barely had time to check out the store. This place was great. They had fishing stuff, snacks and other things campers and travelers might need, as well as farm items that locals can use. They have a coffee bar, soda fountain and a fuel center, too. Our cashier was extremely nice as was everyone here, including the other customers. We never met anyone in Arkansas that wasn’t friendly. We love traveling in the south.

'Propane' The biggest complaint I see is the way Anderson charges for propane. It appears they charge by the fill or bottle more than they charge by the amount. So, to avoid any hard feelings and confusion, I would recommend that you do not have them fill any partially filled tanks, and only bring in tanks that are completely empty. For the out-of-staters who are used to buying propane by the gallon instead of the pound, the average 20lb/5gal tank holds about 4.5-4.7 safely. When it comes to propane "safe" is always better. So, to figure your price @ $20 a fill divided by 4.7=$4.25pg

They charge by the Bottle or by the pound + $8 hookup fee. I didn't think the price per LB was all that bad and would have been more then happy to have paid the price "per LB" but they tried to charge me "by the bottle" 30LB instead of by the LB. I knew mine wasn't empty so I wasn't wanting to pay for propane they were not going to put into my bottle and I wasn't going to pay them to hook up to my tank. Be aware of this place as they are ripping you off. All across the country, stores like Tractor Supply charge by the LB and they are happy to hook up to your tanks w/o any extra charges. I will not go back for any product at Anderson's Gas & Propane Inc.

I schedule two weeks and had to be there for first time for propane. They lied and never called me. Said they just couldn’t get to it today. Could care less I took off of work and when I called and told them they said sorry short a driver. Rude and hung up on me.

Not impressive. Requested propane for our home a week ago and they said it would be probably a couple of weeks before someone could come out. Given that historical cold hit the area that is understandable.

What is not understandable is that after calling a week later, they couldn't give me any idea of when we could expect delivery. They couldn't say if it would be a day, a week, or a month more. They were not able to explain how customers were prioritized. It does not seem like it was by when the request was made. I've seen the propane truck pass by our house since the request was made so it doesn't seem like by locality. On top of that, the person I was speaking to hung up on me - not at all customer friendly. This is unfortunate because our previous history with them has been good.

I called to order propane last Monday they told me it would probably be Tuesday never showed up told them we were at less then 15 percent I understand there was ice storm but called again on Friday said they were not working but would work on Saturday I asked is there anyway we could get propane he didn't know. So my husband is 75 years old on oxygen and has had to spend all these days in the cold this is our only way to heat or cook.
