Stopped here while traveling home. Great vibe inside, friendly and welcoming environment. Food was good - we had the pretzel as an appetizer, patty melt and grilled cheese. Side of poutine fries, the fries could have been cooked longer, they were a little on the soggy side. Would eat here again when in the area.

Our dining experience at this restaurant was pleasant. The ambiance was neat, and the food was tasty, especially the burger. We skipped the seafood options and went for steak, which was okay. We didn’t have great expectations on ordering the steak so we weren’t too disappointed when it came out cold. My friend ordered a rare steak so we were afraid asking the staff to reheat would cook the steak more. Nevertheless, our waiter was awesome and helped us choose some beers selections for our flight. We went here for the beer and had a great time.

Quite possibly the best bartender in Virginia. As a former bartender myself for one of the biggest bars in the Midwest, I can verify this one. And the beer selection is really good. A must try if you’re in the area, chances are you’ll like this one. And I’ve been to hundreds of breweries if that helps. 😉

I so wanted this place to be a great place for food and a good beer stop!

The beer part is pretty good but after waiting over 30 minutes for a chicken club sandwich with fries and then it coming out cold, they definitely have some work to do!
I am not the first to bring this up in a review!

They have some cool history and cool things going on like the Beer it forward!

For beer and hanging out and not caring about time it’s a great place.

But for retired military I would expect a little more in all honesty.

If the reviews and food service improve I will be back.

But there is much work to be done to make this an awesome place.
There are too many great places in the area that have much better service.

I don’t mind waiting for Hot food!
I refuse to wait on cold food.

If your just going for beer it’s great, but a quick lunch is not even possible.

Second time here. Food is decent but my burger bun was hard as a rock, the pork was undercooked, and the place is a MESS. Food all over the floors and tables not cleaned. Only 5 other people in the place, and our server came and went 3 times from our table without clearing the plates until we asked her to do so. Manager should hold staff more accountable and set a higher standard.
